NexImmune is looking for a Head of Corporate Affairs. This person is responsible for leading the overall strategic direction and implementation of NexImmune' corporate affairs initiatives across multiple channels and audiences, focusing primarily on investors and analysts but including media, advocacy partners, and government affairs. Ideally, the candidate has experience in investor relations, general media relations (including traditional and social media strategy), corporate branding, identity and reputation management, corporate / government affairs, and an understanding of the advocacy landscape within oncology. The Head of Corporate Affairs will also be responsible for planning and implementing an employee communications plan aligned with the corporate vision, strategy and goals. The candidate must be an exceptional communicator (written and oral) and influencer with strong business acumen and have demonstrated team building and leadership capabilities and presence. The Head of Corporate Affairs will be a close advisor to senior leaders and partner closely with Corporate Operations, Human Resources, and other cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and communications governance, while identifying and executing complementary initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES In collaboration with the Executive Team, develops and executes a comprehensive suite of IR and corporate communications programs and strategies in accordance with enterprise goals to enhance the perception and visibility of NexImmune within biotechnology/pharmaceutical and investment communities

• Ensures the company is appropriately and strategically positioned with analysts, investors, media, advocacy, and all other relevant stakeholders
• Works collaboratively across a variety of functions, including clinical development, technology and others to support communications goals and ensure alignment and consistency in key messaging
• Supports corporate reputation activities including developing corporate narrative and providing strategic communications for senior leadership as needed, e.g., speech content, talking points, presentations, news releases
• Ensures that the brand messaging is consistent with the overall corporate messaging
• Updates and maintains brand guide while ensuring continuity externally and internally of corporate identity (e.g., digital content guidelines)
• Helps manage NexImmune' corporate website and internal intranet governance, collaborating with stakeholders throughout the organization to develop critical and creative content
• In partnership with Human Resources, develops effective employee communications plans that strengthen recruitment, employee value proposition, employee engagement, and company culture
• Investigates innovative ways to reach patients and healthcare providers through PR activities involving media and advocacy groups, including use of social media
• Assists in planning and organizing of media engagement activities
• Manages public relations and/or corporate communications agency partners to maximize impact and assistance in reaching desired communications goals and objectives
• Manages communication governance (review and approval) process that ensures message buy-in from related parties and the Executive Team.
• Engages and establishes partnerships with key patient-centric advocacy stakeholders and professional organizations in relevant geographical areas; serves as point of contact to foster authentic, compliant, productive, and value- added relationships with these groups
  
  
• Supports the prioritization and management of advocacy initiatives, including, but not limited to, contracts, program scope, program organization, plan development and risk management
• Monitors external coverage of NexImmune in trade and business news across various platforms and develops KPIs to measure impact
• Supports issues management at the corporate and brand level, with focus on ensuring alignment and readiness on key issues identified through periodic risk analysis Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or English; Master's Degree preferred
  • At least 8+ years of investor relations experience, ideally in the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in corporate communications, product communications (commercial launch preferred), social media, issues management, media relations, corporate philanthropy and collaboration with advocacy/ professional alliance programs
  • Experience in publicly traded companies, with understanding of FDA and SEC regulations that impact communications
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards in the healthcare industry
  • Skilled in communicating complex information to a variety of audiences; demonstrated ability to break down complex ideas and concepts in the bio/ pharmaceutical and/ or healthcare industry in easy-to-understand ways
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and collaborate across functions, business units, geographies and disciplines and with senior management
  • Strong executive presence, and demonstrated success partnering with senior management and C-suite executives
  • Highly professional demeanor, strong presence and interpersonal skills, with an ability to create effective partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience managing agency and vendor relationships
  • Experience in issues management, including high-profile media engagement
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve problems effectively
  • Strong social media and digital acumen required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent presentation, facilitation and listening skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-initiating, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and independently
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work in complex and time-sensitive situations
  • Ability to lead through influence and network, while driving employee and internal initiatives
