Job Description Company Description A new Westchester
county-based organization that will provide adults with
Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) with a high-quality
lifelong education, meaningful work, and a socially vibrant
community all in one place. Role Description This is a part-time
on-site role in southern Westchester County, NY for an Adult
Occupational Therapist. The responsibilities of this position
include conducting assessment, co-developing personalized treatment
plans with individual clients, and implementing therapeutic
activities to help adults (aged 21-35) perform daily tasks;
enhancing independence and functioning. Examples include:
successfully manage your home, prepare for employment, and
participate fully in leisure and community activities.
Additionally, this role could potentially facilitate engaging
therapeutic groups with a strong focus on executive functioning.
Qualifications Expertise in Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation,
and therapeutic interventions Passion for assisting adult clients
achieve their life goals and desires Strong Communication skills
for interactions with clients, families, and interdisciplinary
teams Experience or familiarity with post-high school population is
a plus Ability to work effectively on-site and collaborate in a
clinical environment Relevant licensure or certification as
required for the practice of occupational therapy
