Pay Range $25 – $35 per hour (based on experience) Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) Medical coverage Retirement plan Required Qualifications Asphalt Field Level 1 & 2 VDOT Certifications (required) Nuclear Radiation Safety Certification (or ability to obtain within 1 week of hire – online training available) Minimum 1–2 years of experience ( 3–5 years preferred ) Strong knowledge of: Asphalt materials and components Government regulations related to product quality Laboratory and field testing protocols Key Responsibilities Perform daily quality control testing to ensure compliance with project specifications and federal, state, and local regulations Develop and follow quality control procedures for asphalt field operations Coordinate with government agencies on quality standards and compliance Conduct field testing using established scientific protocols Collaborate with roller operators and field managers to ensure product quality Review and analyze reports from DOT and consulting firms Perform: Core testing Nuclear gauge testing Communicate results efficiently to project teams and site leadership Complete additional duties as assigned
