Job DescriptionSalary: Base + CommissionDistrict Fray Magazine, part of the United Fray team, is seeking a Media & Advertising Sales Representative in The Washington, D.C. area. By sharing we mean creating digital and print editorial media content of the fun experiences happening in and around our city. Through those operations, and specifically our local digital and print media brand, District Fray Magazine, we have an abundance of media and advertising opportunities for both local and national advertisers. The Mission & Your Role:You will support our mission to make fun possible by driving company revenue through selling digital & print advertising that builds relationships and drives value to local and national advertising partners. This position will have a high focus on local print magazine advertising, social media promotions, digital and email marketing, brand activations and integrated campaigns open to businesses and industries seeking to reach locals ages 25-45 interested in arts and culture, food and drink, and other lifestyle and entertainment-focused content and happenings in and around D.C. Flexibility and initiative are key to being successful in this role. We are looking for an extroverted, enthusiastic individual who is passionate about the D.C. area, and keeps a pulse on our thriving creative scene. From restaurants and live music to theatre and active life, we need someone in this role who enjoys making connections and nurturing prospects. Major Responsibilities and Related Duties Include:

  • Inside sales and prospecting to new and existing advertising customers with additional door to door opportunities and connections made through media partnerships.
  • Building relationships with targeted companies/organizations through the use of, phone calls, emails, LinkedIn, etc
  • Coordination with internal departments and team members to ensure execution and delivery of your sales products
  • Working on multiple goals/priorities as well as multiple client deliverables effectively and efficiently
  • Remaining current with industry trends, local market news, etc. as they pertain to your clients and products // services
  • Full use of Nutshell, a CRM & sales software system, the google ecosystem, Panda Docs and ASANA. Experience:
    • Minimum of 2-3+ years in print a media and advertising sales role with documented and measured success, thought more experience sales reps are encouraged to apply as well
    • Hunter mentality, a quick learner, independent mindset, and a high energy/aggressive approach is a must, day in day out
    • Experience and desire to manage the entire sales process which includes prospecting, needs analysis, closing, and further maintaining relationships for renewal or upsell
    • Background in using a consultative sales approach; inside sales // cold calling is a plusCompetencies:
      • A student of the latest digital advertising methodologies and solutions in B2B and/or B2C marketing
      • Goal-oriented sales approach; be able to provide a proven track record of meeting quarterly and annual goals
      • Be able to consult with and close business with multiple decision makers and roles
      • Strong presentation, closing, qualifying leads // decision makers, and prospecting skills
      • Knowledge of the local print // digital media market with the ability to respond effectively to market direction, new product offerings, client needs and competition
      • Ability to collaborate with internal partners effectively
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skillsCompensation & Benefits:
