Sr Aviation Analyst I Commercial Air (Job Number:438792)Description:Job Description:- Analyzes and evaluates commercial aircraft guidance and regulation.- Based on analysis and study findings, prepares draft detailed recommendations on methods, procedures to apply and alternative methods or means to improve the air transportation system.- Utilizes and applies knowledge of web information technology and associated tools such as micro media flash, adobe, sharepoint, etc. to provide an information format for Government and industry personnel and the general public.Job Responsibilities:- Assists in reviewing air carrier Fatigue Risk Management Plans, Fatigue Risk Management Systems, requests for deviations and exemptions.- Assists in researching, developing, and drafting responses to correspondence related to pilot fatigue and flight and duty time.- Assists in the research, development, and drafting of technical documents for the aviation industry and internal FAA stakeholders related to 14 CFR part 117.- Provides technical, analytical and research support for the evaluation, revision and development of policies, standards, criteria, operations procedures, safety analysis, regulations and statutes related to pilot flight, duty, and rest.- Provides support with the tracking and control of regulatory, policy, and guidance documents throughout the drafting, coordination, and publication process.- Work closely with the AFS-200 Fatigue Risk Management Program Office.- Track the effectiveness of the carrier's corrective actions to reduce the need for future.Qualifications:Required Education and Experience:- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 6 years of direct aviation experience concerning flight operations and, as appropriate, experience as a pilot with a commercial or airline transport pilot rating.- Bachelor's Degree may be waived with 10 years of experience in performing the above duties.SAIC Overview:SAIC is a premier technology integrator providing full life cycle services and solutions in the technical, engineering, intelligence, and enterprise information technology markets.
