Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and sof tware, requires a combination of te chn ical skill and careful planningThat's why we need you, an experienced Network Architect who knows how to develop the exact network the Air Force's needsAs a Network Architect SME on our team, you'll use your experience in support of a mission critical Spe cia l Access Program ( SAP ) networkUnder broad direction, you will provide te chn ical leadership in the planning, investigation, design, and implementation of physical and logical communication solutions having network-wide impactYou'll upgrade and develop network-wide infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze current working infrastructure, and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systemsAs a Network Architect SME, you will influence team members, the customer, and vendors to define, analyze, and provide solutions for the customers voice, data, and image communications requirementsYou will identify and recommend new design tools for use in communications projects, and recommend product modifications and vendors to incorporate changes necessary in providing the required capabilities of the customerYour knowledge will come in handy as you optimize client operations and support modernizationYou'll serve as a t rus ted advisor to clients on mission-critical projectsUsing your te chn ical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you'll make an impact on national security missionsAdditionally, you will perform evaluation of projected corporate network usage to provide and implement proper media solutionsFurther your career with us as we help the Air Force maintain their network and support critical partners in the DoDJoin usThe world can't waitYou Have:--- 10 years of experience with designing and implementing DoD accredited enterprise networks and computing environments, and developing, delivering, and managing IT network systems architectures, solutions, and implementations
* 7 years of experience with virtual applications, VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, large networks, AF Gateways, and the DoD Global Information Grid ( GiG )--- Experience with designing and implementing large scale DoD environments consisting of computer storage, networking, routing, switching, DNS, firewalls, IDS / OPS, and end user devices
* Ability to report briefings and findings of complex te chn ical and operational topics to the highest level of DoD leadership
* Knowledge of commer cia l, DoD, and multinational IT architectures
* Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam--- Bachelor's degree in IT, Information Systems, or Engineering
* CompTIA Security+ certification
* Cisco CCNP Certification
* CISSP-ISSAP or CISSP-ISSEP certification Nice If You Have:--- Master's degree in IT, Information Systems, or Engineering
* VMware Certified Advanced Professional - Network Virtualization Design, including VCAP-NV Design
