Summary:This role will deliver support to all departments and end
users related to application implementation, maintenance,
enhancements, and overall performance. The Application Analyst will
collaborate with key stakeholders, vendors, and other IT staff to
innovate and implement services and functionalities within an
assigned portfolio of applications. This includes leveraging
existing data and technology as well as scoping and defining new
technology requirementsPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promotes superior guest service
- Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture

- Support end user inquires related to application incidents and
new requests utilizing a ticketing system to create, modify, track,
and update tickets
- Prioritize, schedule, and implement defect fixes and
enhancements -
- Communicate with key stakeholder's impact, planning, and timing
of defect resolution
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, patches, and upgrades
- Provide Tier II support for escalations related to application
functionality, installation, and upgrade requirements
- Project Management - Gather business requirements and translate
into technical requirements, create standard PM documentation,
facilitate, and lead cross-departmental project with multiple
stakeholders
- Quality assurance and testing - Create use cases, unit tests,
and test solutions in support of both existing and new applications
under consideration for purchase -
- Training Support - Provide support to business partners and HR
training organization related to assessing application training
needs on functionality, features, and best practices
- Technical Documentation - Create and maintain application
overviews, capturing software requirements, data flow diagrams,
logical models, and infrastructure requirements. Also responsible
for the creation and maintenance of application security matrices,
process, and procedure documentation, troubleshooting
documentation, FAQs, business continuity plans, and vendor support
information
- Vendor Management - Support third party applications,
integrations, and manage the vendor relationship related to account
management and escalations
- Communication - Provide timely, appropriate communication on
application or project status based on target audience. Provide
24X7 support for applications within portfolio.
- Continuous Improvement - Actively pursue opportunities, as an
individual and as part of a group, to improve knowledge, tools, and
processes for applications within portfolio
- Shared Services - Partner with and support established
enterprise Shared Services agreement and participate in
collaboration efforts amongst all business entities
- Responsible for the strict adherence to the Information
Technology department compliance policies, internal control
procedures, Washington State Gaming Control Board control
specifications and the casino's policies and procedures
- Performs other related duties as assignedMinimum
Qualifications:
- College diploma or University degree in the field of Computer
Science or Information Systems and one (1) year relevant work
experience in an IT environment and/or an equivalent combination of
education and work experience demonstrating two (2) years of
progressive IT experience
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to
foster a supportive and enabling team environment
- Experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and
issue resolution techniques
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience defining and implementing IT-related projects
impacting multiple stakeholders
- Experience with assessing training needs, creating training
plans, and delivering training
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation
- Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentational
skills
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly
language
- Initiative-taking and self-directed
- Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly
- Comfortable with changing priorities and a fast-paced
environment
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a
high-pressure environment
- Experience working in a collaborative, large, and diverse
environment
- Minimal travel may be required
- Requires weekend, evening work, working different shifts, and
flexible hours
- Must be able to walk, stand, reach, and grab for a 10-hour
shift
- Must be willing to work in a smoking environment
- Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety
