If applicable, prospective, or new employees may seek an exemption to the vaccination requirement and must have an approved exemption prior to the start of their employment.The General Maintenance worker is responsible for performing efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems. Building systems include HVAC, electrical, lighting, plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, flooring and hardware. Duties & Responsibilities:Ability to independently perform and document a variety of minor repairs on building equipment and systems including; Minor repairs to FinishesDrywall touch-up painting and patching - walls, trim, and ceilingsCaulking and sealing Replacing floor tiles and carpet squares Replacing ceiling tiles and wall panelsHanging and moving pictures and white boards, fixing holes Minor concrete repairs, filling cracks and other minor damageMinor repairs to stairs and railingsReplace broken windowpanesHanging doors, installing new handles, locks, and push bars Electrical and lighting dutiesInstall replacement electrical receptacles, wires, and switches Install replacement electrical fixtures, motors, and fans Minor repairs and changing bulbs/tubes on light fixturesHVAC, Plumbing, and other Mechanical SystemsInstalling replacement plumbing fixtures like sinks, faucets, traps, toilets, Verify operational status of plumbing equipment such as water heaters and performing maintenance tasks Install replacement parts on plumbing assetsMinor repair to plumbing assets in bathrooms and showers Install Install replacement sections of pipe and fittings Use small snake to clear minor drains, like those in sinks, toilets, and bathroom floor drains. General maintenance on HVAC equipment, such as changing filters and beltsCleaning system components, such as drain pans and outdoor coilsReplacing minor parts like motors and fans Assist Electricians, HVAC technicians, and Plumbers with major repairs and installationsFollow instructions when working under the supervision of TradespeopleWork safely and perform project housekeeping duties Perform General DutiesMoving furniture, tools, materials, and other heavy items Receiving and documenting deliveries of project materials and partsOrganizing contractor workspaces and mechanical rooms and keeping work areas clean Putting tools and materials away after projectsEscorting duties as required Maintain standards of conduct, background check, drug-free workplace, Ability to accurately document and report on services performedDedicated to safety in the workplace Qualification RequirementsMid-level tradesperson with (3) three years of related building maintenance experience Must be able to acquire a CFC Universal Must be able to acquire and maintain a federal government GSA Public Trust Clearance (HSPD-12) Physical Requirements:Must be able to perform manual labor that requires standing or walking/moving up to 85% of the time, as well as working on ladders over 12 feet, crouching, bending, and accessing constricted spaces.Reach and pull to work on equipment; and to use hands, arms and legs in using tools and materials.Ability to lift, carry and move objects in excess of fifty (50) pounds.We offer CIGNA medical, Health Savings Account with generous employer contribution, Cigna Dental, EyeMed vision, company paid Short Term Disability and Life Insurance and AD&D, Long Term Disability, Vacation & Sick leave, paid federal holidays and 401K with a company match.
