Job Description:

Location: Hybrid, Washington, DC.
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented cybersecurity professional to support our Department of State client. The candidate will support information system assessment and authorization (A&A) in accordance with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Duties and responsibilities include:

• 
  
• Support execution of step 0-3 of the Risk Management Framework in accordance with NIST 800-37 and 800-53;
  
• Provide FISMA reporting and POAM reporting support along with other reporting requirements;
  
• Provide support and strategy to address legacy backlog of POAMs and support timely closure of POAMs on a weekly and monthly basis.
  
• Provide support to maintain 98-100% System Authorization at any given time at the Department;
  
• Support development of standard operating procedure guidance for the RMF process at the Department based on roles.
  
  Required Experience:
  
  • 
    
  • 1-2 years experience in the cyber security field
    
  • At least 1 year working with the RMF process
    
  • Knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework - NIST publications 800-53, 800-37, 800-63, FIPS 199
    
    Certification Requirement: Security+ CE or higher IAM-compliant certification. CAP, CASP, CISM, and/or ITIL nice to have.
    Education Requirement: High school diploma required. Bachelor's in related field preferred.
