The Marketing and Member Experience Department plays a vital role in developing and promoting the products, services, and member experiences that are at the core of the value and mission of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). The department's goal is to identify, analyze, and understand member needs, and to use these critical insights to define, communicate, and deliver a premier member experience. The department supports the organization by developing and leading the strategic direction and delivery of a comprehensive brand and marketing strategy, by providing the insights needed to inform the prioritization of critical resources, and by identifying new opportunities to sustain the organization's growth.

Your Role
The Marketing Analyst position is key to AILA's overall marketing efforts as a member of the Marketing and Member Experience Department responsible for delivering data-driven results and facilitating strategic and tactical marketing decisions across all touchpoints and channels. Leveraging a range of data mining and trend analyses, the analyst will work under the Demand Generation Manager to analyze AILA's member database and marketing databases?- working with staff to translate marketing questions into data queries and providing actionable marketing insight based on data for AILA. We are searching for a person with experience in data analysis, marketing, project management, SQL, and various marketing platforms such as HubSpot and Google Analytics. Familiarity with modeling software is a plus. We are looking for someone with a marketing-solutions mindset - a person driven by curiosity and the desire and ability to innovate. This position will assume an important role as the organization's champion for the power of information in propelling our mission.

Essential Job Functions include:
Data Mining, Reporting, Insights, and Analysis
Conceptualizes and performs fact-based analysis to drive marketing results and increase Member Lifetime Value (LTV)


  • Partner with key stakeholders in order to frame business questions and develop analytical solutions to drive results - quantitatively, but also qualitatively.
  • Help define segments within the AILA membership database based on detailed behavioral analyses. Provide ongoing segmentation and modeling to drive higher response, spend and lifetime value for our myriad membership and marketing efforts.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting, analysis, and modeling capabilities for the team.
  • Utilize LTV dashboard for regular reporting on key member segments.? Provide ongoing LTV and behavioral analyses.
  • Create data visualizations using available tools that illustrate trends and segmentations to inform decision making
  • Effectively communicate research and insights to all levels of the organization to help guide strategic decision-making.
  • Provide clear and accurate reporting for various areas of the business from our custom SQL database.
  • Extract and aggregate data from different data sources to uncover insights and key business drivers.
  • Leverage data from a variety of data sources (web, social media, e-mail marketing, sales reports, etc.) to provide actionable recommendations and business insights.
  • Contribute to organizational analytics standards, reporting templates, KPIs, etc., and advise on best practices for capturing data, standardizing reporting, and applying metrics to address business needs.
  • Develop visually appealing, comprehensive reports, scorecards, dashboards, and other outputs to present trends, opportunities, and insights to colleagues.

    Trend Modeling, Concept, Development, and Execution

    • Perform focused trend analysis to support business strategy
    • Create trend reports using various software to analyze promotional outreach - e-mails, direct mail, digital ads, social, e-commerce, website, and others.
    • Work with Marketing and Member Experience staff and other content partners to manage project deliverables from initial design through completion.
    • Conduct analysis to determine trends and significant data relationships using various software to create accurate models for present and historical campaigns

        Your Background and Experience
        3+ years of relevant business experience in Marketing or Quantitative Analysis. 2+ Years of experience with SQL preferred. Experience with Google Analytics and marketing platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, etc. Experience with visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools is a plus.
