Our Energy, Sustainability & Infrastructure (ES&I) team
provides political, strategic and management consultancy to
institutions and companies across the energy value chain that aim
to support and finance the energy transition. Our strength lies in
our strategic understanding of complex relations between
technology, policy, business and finance, and our ability to
translate that into actionable advice for our clients
Responsibilities
Guidehouse's Decarbonization Solutions team works to deliver the
next generation of solutions to support our clients in delivering
on a decarbonized energy future. We support utilities and
stakeholders across the energy sector as they envision and prepare
for this future by combining our market knowledge, objective
modelling capabilities, and deep technical skills with strategic
perspectives on decarbonization planning.
As a member of the Decarbonization Solutions team you will help to
identify and build new, transformational offerings for our clients.
You will primarily work with energy providers to help them identify
long term pathways and related actions to decarbonize their
operations. Assignments may include defining decarbonization
targets and strategies, measuring long-term decarbonization
impacts, and developing and implementing decarbonization programs
to drive real-world impact. In this role you will learn, be
challenged, and develop skills at a fast pace. In addition to
hands-on experience, formal training programs will teach you the
diverse skills you need to succeed. In this role, you will learn,

We are looking for someone with a passion for creative problem
solving, client service, and project management. Key
responsibilities for this position include:
* Providing detailed fact finding, research, and analysis on
energy-related activities (particularly energy efficiency, grid
modernization, renewable energy, customer programs, new business
models, and sustainability)
* Performing statistical and economic analyses by creating
spreadsheet models
* Preparing workshop and meeting materials, attending sessions, and
summarizing outcomes
* Preparing reports, presentations, and other documents for client
deliverables
* Interviewing business managers, technology experts, and public
policy officials
* Staying abreast of technology developments, demonstration
projects, and pilot studies of emerging energy and decarbonization
technologies
* Presenting results of assigned tasks and analyses to clients
* Working effectively with colleagues and client staff as part of a
project team; work independently as needed.
What You Will Need:
* Bachelors or Masters degree in an engineering, energy science,
economics, mathematics, business, sustainability and/or a related
discipline AND the following experience:
* Bachelors and 3+ years of relevant industry or consulting
experience excluding internships/co-ops
* Masters degree and 1+ years of relevant industry or consulting
experience excluding internships/co-ops
* Experienced and skilled with PowerPoint, Excel, Word
* Familiarity with collaborative software platforms and tools that
facilitate team collaboration through cloud computing, Teams,
sharepoint, etc.
* Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative
analytics skills.
* Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills, e.g.,
proven ability to summarize complex material into key findings and
implications for our clients.
* Ability to work multiple projects and show a good understanding
of the project objectives and client expectations.
* General knowledge of decarbonization pathways in the energy
sector, across both electric and gas systems
* A team player who demonstrates the willingness and ability to
work effectively in diverse teams and collaborate with colleagues
at all levels.
* Willingness to travel to client sites and training / conferences
as needed.

* The salary range for this role is $60,400 - $82,610, may vary
based on experience and location.

* Sustainability (e.g., GHG emissions accounting standards, GHG
reporting protocols, life cycle assessments, ESG)
* Innovation (e.g., advancement of new ideas and technologies)
* Environmental and sustainability policy appraisal
The annual salary range for this position is
$65,400.00-$117,800.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide
range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets,
experience and training, security clearances, licensure and
certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
