Job Description:


A successful Forensic Analyst possesses an eye for detail and an interest in continuous learning and improvement. They have knowledge of the fundamentals for physical and virtual systems administration, networking, and security. They have performed numerous on-site and remote collections for a wide variety of data sources, including but not limited to smartphones, physical and virtual servers, network shares, cloud hosted documents and email, and records management databases. They have proficiency in PowerShell. They have familiarity with the eDiscovery reference model and the impact collections have on every downstream activity. they are interested in learning and performing downstream processes during periods of limited forensics activity.

*This is a onsite position.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES.

Works under the direction of the eDiscovery Operations Supervisor.

Perform day-to-day eDiscovery data processing and loading activities.

Acquire, process, and analyze digital evidence using FTK, Encase, Cellebrite, Paraben or other forensics tools.

Preparing written reports based on evidence analysis.

Develop, maintain, and update work quality standards and standard operating procedures.

Research and develop processes to address the challenges created by the introduction of new technologies and specifications.

Liaise with the Case Teams on Digital Forensic/eDiscovery case related matters to provide solutions around technical issues and ensure awareness of case deadlines and processing timescales.

Participate in forensic analysis and collection as part of incident response.

Perform on-site collections.

Perform eDiscovery technical tasks used throughout the entirety of eDiscovery case lifecycle, along with generalized technical analysis and troubleshooting.

Perform social media captures using X1 or other tools

QUALIFICATIONS.

Required:

Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.

No less than 4 years of experience routinely performing collections.

Computer/Digital Forensics degree OR experience as a Digital Forensic Analyst.

Certification in one or more of the following areas: EnCase Certified (EnCE), AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE), Cellebrite Certification (CCLO or CCPA) or a demonstrable path to acquiring such certification within a one-year timeframe.

Experience using forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK Imager, and Cellebrite.

Good working knowledge of computer forensics, mobile forensics, and eDiscovery.

Knowledge of onsite and remote collections.

Experience with social media collection.

Preferred:

Preferred hands-on eDiscovery and incident response experience and familiarity with general computer forensic practices and tools.

Experience or certifications related to systems administration, networking and\or security.

EnCase Certified Examiner(EnCE)

EnCase Certified eDiscovery Practitioner(EnCEP)
