Berkeley Research GroupThe Data Analyst position is a staff
consulting position within the Healthcare Transactions and Strategy
(HTS) practice at BRG. HTS performs regulatory, reimbursement, and
data analytics for health care investors, including addressable
market, referral, and episodes of care analyses. This position will
require a highly motivated problem solver with a strong analytical
ability, solid organizational skills, and a desire to solve client
problems. The work of a Data Analyst will involve both execution
and oversight of engagement work streams that will primarily use
Medicare administrative claims data, requiring strong analytical
skills in programs including SAS, SQL, Excel, Tableau, and others.
This person will need to have prior experience using Medicare,
Medicaid, and commercial claims data. Responsibilities include
working with team to develop data specifications, expert analysis
of healthcare policy datasets, quality control, and development and
presentation of client deliverables.Responsibilities:Support and/or
lead and manage client engagements and discrete segments of
largerProduce analyses, data sets, and reports using Medicare
fee-for-service claims data, Medicare Advantage and Part D event
data, Medicaid claims data, post-acute care assessment data,
Medicare and Medicaid administrative data, and other relevant
dataCollaborate with diligence team to develop specifications for
data analysis, including effective communication of obstacles or
unexpected results as well as contingencyDevelop quality control
procedures to ensure the highest level of accuracy within project
deliverableGenerate client deliverables including in Excel,
PowerPoint, Tableau, and other formats as applicable.Delegate
assignments to staff, instruct and monitor progress, and review
work product for completeness andDemonstrate healthcare policy
expertise and healthcare industryDemonstrate creativity and
efficient use of relevant software tools and analyticalParticipate
in group practice meetings, contribute to business development
initiatives and office functions such as staff training
andPrioritize assignments and responsibilities to meet goals
andBasic Qualifications:A BS/BA degree with a focus in healthcare
policy, data analysis or similar field;Minimum four (4+) years of
hands-on experience working within SQL is additionally
preferred;Minimum four (4+) of work experience with healthcare
data;Strong qualitative and quantitative understand of healthcare
data;Must have strong work experience or academic research using
Medicare and Medicaid claims data;Keen interest in healthcare
policy and healthcare industry and research;Strong verbal and
written communication skills;Desire to work within a team
