Installation Crew (Part-time/As needed)
Our Production Crew assists in various physical installation needs
during our exhibit turnovers and other special events at our venues
to bring all the planning and design to life. ARTECHOUSE is a
collaborative environment involving crew of different specialties
structured in a lead and a support style for most of the
production. Each team works on specific areas of the installation
under the direction of the onsite Technical Assistant Director.
We are looking for various specialties including carpentry, AV
Tech, Master Electrician, Lighting Tech, Carpentry, Sound
Engineering/Tech, Rigging, and General Installation.
If your qualifications match any of our openings, a representative
from our production team will contact you for a video interview.
Afterwards you will be added to our crew call list and be contacted
when the appropriate opportunity arises.
Candidates must be able to work at our Washington, DC venue. We are
happy to consider candidates in other locations for future
projects. Please note we will only respond to candidates selected
for further consideration.
$17-$25/hr Depending on Experience
$25+/hr Depending on Experience
Specialties Including Rigging, Welding, And Others Depending On
Who You Are
- 3+ years direct work experience in a professional production
environment that involves physical installation of your specialty
- General overall understanding of AV equipment, cabling,
computers, safe rigging practices, lighting, carpentry, and
- A clear and organized communicator who can take directions
- Collaborative members of the team using good common sense
practices to keep each other safe.
- Execute tasks with professionalism.
- Bring problem solving solutions pertaining to your area of
- Hands-on physical installation onsite pertaining to your
- Follow installation plans and needs with urgency and
- Execute reasonable deadlines.
- Be able to lift 40 pounds or more.
- Be able to move and climb at least 15 high ladders.
- Being able to operate a scissor lift is a plus.
- Follow existing processes and procedures.
- Thrives in a fast-paced and cross-functional team, and
understands how to prioritize.
