PART TIME Quality Assurance Analyst reviews Mental Health
Rehabilitation Services (MHRS) clinical documentation to ensure it
meets MHRS regulations for documenting reimbursable
services.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain understanding of District of Columbia Department of
Behavioral Health (DBH) Mental Health Rehabilitation Services
(MHRS) regulations for documenting reimbursable services.
- Review and approve MHRS documentation prior to billing to
ensure it meets MHRS standards including medically necessity,
appropriate interventions for the service, adequate documentation
to justify the time and use of correct billing codes including but
not limited to location and recipient codes.
- Provide feedback to staff to ensure all documentation is
sufficient to meet DBH/Medicaid standards prior to approving the
service for billing.
- Audit billed services as directed and provide feedback to
internal Claims Audit committee.
- Provide training to staff as needed. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling.
- Appropriate District of Columbia license.
- Experience in quality assurance work.
- Experience working with different levels of staff in an
organization.SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:
- Attention to detail.
- Documentation and follow through skills.
- Communication (written and oral) skills.
- Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC,
Windows-based operating environment.#CB
