Job Description:

Title Senior Network Engineer Location Lanham, MD Rate 57hour Job Responsibilities bull Configure and install software, switches, routers, firewalls and other network devices. bull Conduct integration testing of new network hardware, network design and software to support network infrastructure evolution. bull Collaborate with security team to ensure new software, platform and design meets PCI security compliance requirements. bull Monitor network performance and integrity. bull Document all connectivity and network changes using Visio and Microsoft Office. bull Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support a 247 environment. bull Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures. bull Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other network related issues. bull Support and troubleshoot site-to-site and remote access VPN issues. bull Work independently and support the platforms and network designs through their lifecycle. bull The ideal candidate will be a senior technologist with strong cross-functional skills and hands on experience with diverse vendor platforms (Cisco, PAN) Requirements Minimum of 7 years with Cisco components bull Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE certifications or relative experience bull Strong knowledge of data communications protocols and utilities (TCPIP) and possess the ability to perform rudimentary packet analysis bull Must have experience with design, routing and switching design concepts for data centers bull Strong knowledge of Cisco Palo Alto LANWAN hardware components (routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, etc) bull Strong knowledge of firewalls including Cisco ASAFirePower, and Palo Alto Networks. bull Knowledge of Leaf-Spine architecture and VXLAN preferred bull Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills We are proud to be an EEOAA employer MFDV.
