Job Description:

Position Description: The successful candidate will be given responsibility to assist senior analysts with designing, planning and small-team management of assigned development efforts for the Army War Reserve Deployment System (AWRDS). Such efforts occur in analyst-led teams, with the analyst responsible for coordination between the assigned programmer, assigned tester, and the customer. Your future duties and responsibilities: 1. Work directly with senior analysts and system end users to determine application requirements and analyze program specifications. 2. Evaluate user requests for redesign or upgrades of existing software. 3. Coordinate closely with assigned senior analysts, programmer and tester to ensure task completion within scheduled time limits and design specifications. 4. Generate design documentation for software development. Documentation will emphasize:* Platform specification analysis* Identification of critical assumptions and / or constraints* GUI design * Relational database design/redesign (as needed)* Help documentation 5. Convert project specifications into detailed algorithms for coding. 6. Support product briefings and demonstrations as necessary to support customer and internal corporate requirements. 7. Periodically prepare and conduct system testing as needed. 8. Other duties as assigned. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: 1. Previous experience in U.S. Army logistics and/or with AWRDS, LMP, GCSS, or other DoD STAMIS systems a plus 2. Critical thinking and excellent diagnostic ability. 3. Experience with CMMI or LEAN a plus. 4. Good interpersonal skills. 5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, and Access). 6. Ability to learn and be familiar with formal procedures through all stages of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). 7. Basic knowledge of SQL a plus. 8. Basic knowledge of database structure a plus. 9. Basic knowledge of performing audits against database to determine potential issues a plus. 10. Basic knowledge of C# and/or Delphi is a plus 11. Experience in ITIL is a plus. 12. Ability to read and understand design specifications including workflows. 13. Ability to communicate effectively orally, through informal conversations, in meetings; as well as through presentations; and in writing through e-mails and memos. 14. Ability to plan and prioritize work. 15. Currently holding or the ability to obtain a Microsoft Security+ certification a plus. Education & Experience: Position requires a minimum of 2 years experience and the ability to demonstrate the required knowledge, skills & abilities. A BS degree in Computer Science or related field is desired. Specialized experience in the functional area supported by the task assignment may be considered to compensate for lack of formal education or training on a case-by-case basis. Physical Demands: The majority of position requirements will be performed within a professional office environment. However, travel evolutions can require the individual to lift and move computer and other equipment of approximately 50 lbs in weight, as well as being able to push a wheeled dolly with multiple computer systems loaded. Position may require bending, kneeling, or crawling to get to cables under and behind furniture. Work Environment: Work environment is indoors and will be at a CGI Federal site. However, certain travel and system deployment/implementation evolutions may be conducted in remote or austere physical environments. Certain operations may require 24 hour support.
