Job Description:
Description This is a temporary position. The FLEX Director of
Integrated Marketing supports strategic planning and coordination
for the Global Marketing team. This role, in close collaboration
with the Marketing Strategy team, will support development of a
global marketing strategic plan that aligns enterprise objectives
and global marketing sub-objectives (e.g., Marriott Bonvoy and
Brand consideration). To implement and execute on the global
marketing strategic plan, this role will support marketing
investment planning in collaboration with Marketing Strategy and
Finance. In addition, this role stewards marketing communication,
integration, and alignment among Global and Continent Marketing
teams. They will support content development and orchestration of
key global marketing forums that bring together marketing leaders
to align on strategy, priorities, and performance. CANDIDATE
PROFILE Education and Experience Required 4-year degree from an
accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing or
related major 7 years in the marketing or hospitality industry,
demonstrating a pattern of exceptional performance Demonstrated
ability to progress cross-discipline projects and communication
through highly matrixed organization Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills with the demonstrated ability to identify
and implement process improvements Experience facilitating
large-group meetings and developing executive-ready presentations &
reports Exceptional skills in PowerPoint and Excel Education and
Experience Preferred Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
Experience with SharePoint, Workfront, Smartsheet, Power BI,
Tableau, ThinkCell, and other tools and platforms Experience
reviewing and drawing insights from financials and marketing
performance reports Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage
multiple projects from start to finish Demonstrated ability to
deliver results when faced with complexity and ambiguity CORE WORK
ACTIVITIES Annual global marketing strategic and investment
planning Creates global view of marketing investment aligned to
strategic pillars and priorities using inputs from Global and
Continent Marketing leaders, in partnership with Marketing
Financial Operations and Finance teams Collaborates with Marketing
Strategy on the development of Global Marketing’s annual
priorities, business objectives, and KPIs, including working
sessions with Global Marketing leaders and teams to inform
development and reporting of goals, deliverables and workstreams.
Supports Senior Director in overseeing annual strategic planning
process with Global and Continent Marketing teams to develop and
drive alignment around priorities for the year ahead (i.e., focus
areas based on marketing strategy, development of forward-looking
marketing capabilities) in support of broader corporate objectives.
Supports process to ensure cross-functional alignment/buy-in on
annual priorities and dependencies (e.g., with Digital team,
Loyalty, Cobrand credit cards, etc.) Alignment between global &
continent marketing leadership Leads ad hoc cross-continent
marketing projects that are identified by Global and Continent
Marketing leadership as critical to driving improved business
impact. Develops supporting tools, including meeting forum agendas,
templates, and other inputs for deliverable execution Works with
continent marketing counterparts to create annual marketing
summaries shared with international owners. Achieves buy-in on key
projects and budgets requiring approval across Senior Marketing and
Continent leadership. Partners with Senior Director to lead ongoing
alignment of Global/HQ and continent marketing leadership including
identifying appropriate forums for alignment, cadence of meetings
and key marketing issues/topics for discussion/alignment. Supports
content development and management of ongoing alignment forums for
Global & Continent Marketing leadership, including weekly meetings,
2-3x annual in-person leadership conferences, and marketing
