Location: Washington, DC Working Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm Salary: GS-12 $83,398.00 - $108,422.00; GS-13 $99,172.00 - $128,920.00 Full Performance level: GS-13 Number of Positions Available: 1 Duration: Full Time/Permanent Additional selections may be made from this announcement to fill positions within the same division when the position includes substantially the same duties, responsibilities, and qualifications. Key Requirements Must be a current, permanent FBI employee Must be able to obtain an SCI clearance Selectee will be required to complete form FD-887, Request for Access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Major Duties GS-12 * Analyzes all types of transactions including; money transfers, cashiers checks, wire transfers, mortgages, installment loans, credit card activities, tax payments, among others. * Compiles, analyzes and presents research in support of conclusions. * Conducts research of government, commercial, and public records to identify business or individual assets and liabilities. GS-13 (In addition to the duties above) * Compiles, analyzes and reaches conclusions based on application of authoritative guides including accounting standards, banking regulations, Executive Orders, and Director of Central Intelligence Directives (DCID). * Performs analytical duties in support of security investigations, re-investigations and functions in order to determine trustworthiness of individuals with access to sensitive FBI information and facilities. SE is defined as follows: * Analyzes financial transactions involving individuals, corporations, businesses. * Conducts research of government, commercial, and public records to identify business or individual assets and liabilities. GS-13: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. In addition to the experience above, SE is defined as follows: * Compiles and analyzes accounting records and other data to determine the financial resources required to implement a program. * Conducts in depth financial analysis of complex financial documents in order to determine truthfulness of disclosed information (i.e. net worth analysis, debt to equity analysis, analysis of income as compared to expenses over a period of time). A Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) is a 90-day written developmental plan for an employee whose performance on one or more critical elements is rated "Unacceptable." b. A Letter of Requirement (LOR) is issued when a supervisor identifies leave abuse and/or when frequent absences negatively impact operations of an office. * Relocation expenses will be borne by the selectee, except FBI employees returning from LEGAT assignment. Employees returning from LEGAT assignments must advise the Staffing Unit, Administrative Unit, and the international Operations Unit of their application to apply. On December 22, 2017, the President signed into law the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. This law may impact your transfer. * This legislation made previously non-taxed moving expense reimbursements taxable as of January 1, 2018. Please see HR Link for a list of the FBI's current understanding of the applicable tax changes. However, this may change upon receipt of official guidance from GSA and DOJ. * Current law provides the FBI with the authority to compensate employees for much of the tax burden caused by a transfer through the Relocation Income Tax Allowance (RITA) process. At this time, it is unclear whether this authority addresses the full impact of the recent change in the tax law. GSA and DOJ are currently reviewing the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR), including the RITA process, in an effort to identify ways to minimize the additional tax burden on transferring employees. * Candidates receiving a transfer of physical location, whether at the expense of the FBI or not, will be required to complete a one year commitment to the assignment, prior to moving to a new position at the FBI.
