JOB DECRIPTION FOR CNC MACHINIST :

• Schedule: All Shift Available
• Pay Rate: $25-35/hr
  (based on shift and experience) Job Duties for CNC Machinist :
  • Set up and operate Mazak CNC Lathes, machining a variety of materials including stainless steels, nickel alloys, plastics, and more.
  • Manufacture components within the allotted time estimates provided on the job travelers.
  • Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, tooling, and programs.
  • Program, set up, and operate Mazak Multi-axis Turning Centers with minimal supervision.
  • Perform 1st piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to specifications and tight tolerances (as close as 0.0005").
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area, and follow preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Work effectively with team members, assisting and training others as necessary.
  • Operate forklifts and handle materials safely, including products up to 4 tons.
  • Perform duties in accordance with company policies, including safety practices and attendance standards.
  • Be available to work overtime when required to meet customer demands. Requirements for CNC Machinist :
    
    • Proficiency in G&M codes and the ability to make manual program edits as needed.
    • Ability to read and interpret customer drawings with an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI Y-14.5.
    • Strong understanding of precision measuring tools like micrometers, bore gauges, and dial calipers.
    • Ability to document inspection results on required forms and maintain accurate records.
    • Forklift operation and safe rigging skills for handling heavy products.
    • Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment and take on additional tasks as needed.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
