join our dynamic team. -Job Summary:As a Compliance Specialist at
G&G Outfitters, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that
our manufacturing operations adhere to industry regulations,
company policies, and best practices. You will be responsible for
supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of
compliance programs to ensure regulatory adherence and promote a
culture of integrity and accountability within our
organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal
regulations related to manufacturing processes, environmental laws,
health and safety standards, and quality control.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry standards
and assess their impact on company operations.Policy and Procedure
Management:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of
compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines specific to
manufacturing operations.
- Ensure that manufacturing practices align with internal
policies and regulatory requirements.Auditing and Monitoring:
- Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to identify
compliance gaps and areas for improvement in manufacturing
processes.
- Analyze audit findings and work with relevant departments to
develop and implement corrective actions.Training and Awareness:
- Develop and deliver training programs for employees on
compliance-related topics, including regulatory requirements,
safety protocols, and ethical practices.
- Promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the
manufacturing team.Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain detailed compliance reports,
documentation, and records related to regulatory inspections, audit
findings, and corrective actions.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for regulatory agencies
and internal stakeholders.Incident Management:
- Support the investigation of compliance incidents and breaches,
including assessing root causes and recommending corrective
actions.
- Ensure timely resolution of compliance issues and proper
documentation of incidents.Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of compliance programs
and processes by identifying best practices and recommending
enhancements.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging compliance
issues to proactively address potential challenges.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law,
Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. A
certification in compliance or auditing (e.g., CCEP, CISA) is a
plus.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a compliance or
regulatory role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial
setting.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing regulations, quality
management systems (e.g., ISO 9001), environmental regulations, and
health and safety standards.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention
to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and
proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance management
software.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a
computer.
- Ability to navigate manufacturing environments, including
potential exposure to machinery and industrial conditions.
- Location: This position is onsite at our corporate headquarters
in Lanham, MD, with occasional travel required.
