Our Painters perform a variety of tasks such as assembling scaffolding, surface preparation, sanding down old paint, filling in drywall holes, mixing paint colors, and painting homes and businesses. The ideal candidate should be comfortable talking with clients to understand their needs. Responsibilities: --- Measure, cut, and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings --- Secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs --- Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in the compound --- Smooth out the excess compound and allow it to dry --- Sand rough spots after the compound dries --- Apply primer and paint to walls, ceilings, and trim --- Repair cracks and holes in walls and prepare surfaces for painting --- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards Qualifications: --- Candidates should have strong time management, communication skills, and attention to detail --- Candidates must be comfortable standing for long periods of time, and have physical strength and dexterity --- Knowledge of basic painting materials and tools is preferred, but we will provide training --- We prefer candidates with 2 years work experience and a completed apprenticeship, but not required --- High school diploma or GED preferred --- Proven experience as a Drywall Installer and Painter --- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools --- Strong knowledge of drywall techniques and painting methods --- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings --- Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work --- Good physical condition and stamina --- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team --- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Compensation: $40,000 - $50,000 yearly--- Measure, cut, and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings --- Secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs --- Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in the compound --- Smooth out the excess compound and allow it to dry --- Sand rough spots after the compound dries --- Apply primer and paint to walls, ceilings, and trim --- Repair cracks and holes in walls and prepare surfaces for painting --- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
