mother/baby couplet shortly following delivery. The nurse monitors
the mother frequently during her recovery period and the body's
transition back to normalcy. The nurse monitors the baby's
transitional period from intrauterine into the world. Supporting
breastfeeding is a key component in the postpartum period for the
couplet dyad. Maintaining pain control, educating on self-care and
newborn care along with handling deviations from current plan of
care are top priorities for the RN.Inova Fairfax Hospital is proud

or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the
Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).o Basic Life Support (BLS)
