Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY -Assists the department in the clerical aspects of preparation for patient meal service through accurate menu processing and assisting patients with menu selection -Prepares dietary information for use by kitchen personnel in preparation of meals for hospital patients -Examines diet orders and menus received from hospital units. Provides meal related information to kitchen personnel
Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS - -Education/Qualification - Licensure/Certifications: Must be able to read, write and speak English - - Education: High School Diploma or equivalent - - Experience: Related experience or education demonstrating a knowledge of normal and modified diets and the Carbohydrate Counting and Protein Exchange Systems - -
Skills - Previous networked computer experience preferred - - Basic typing skills - - Good verbal communication skills - - Ability to work independently and complete assignments in a timely manner - - Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 2 hours) - - Must be able to sit for long periods of time (up to 6 hours) - -This opportunity offers the following:
