environment Program Description: The mission of the Sports &
Society Program is to convene leaders, facilitate dialogue and
inspire solutions that help sports serve the public interest. The
program provides a venue for thought leadership where knowledge can
be deepened and breakthrough strategies explored on a range of
issues. An initiative of the Sports & Society Program, Project Play
provides stakeholders with opportunities to build healthy
communities through sports, starting with access to a quality sport
activity for all children. We develop, apply and share knowledge
that can be used to mobilize stakeholders from the national to
local levels. Our work has been used by many organizations, from
professional leagues to media companies, grassroots providers to
community foundations, to introduce programs or shape youth
strategies related to sports. Basic Function: Program Associate
primary responsibilities are to support work in communities through
research, convening stakeholders and program management. In
addition, the position will be assigned other duties to support all
projects of the program, as needed.In accordance with our
Reimagining Work policy, the ?Program Associate should be willing
to be in-person in the D.C. office with colleagues a minimum of 40%
of the time while having the flexibility to work remotely for the
balance. In-person consists of meaningful connections with
colleagues in an office, traveling to a different office or
location to meet fellow staff members, at an Aspen event, at a
meeting outside the office or other opportunities to meet in person
with teammates and colleagues. Essential Duties and
