Job Overview
The Program Coordinator for JD Adjuncts plays an important role in providing consistent professional front line customer service to a large, prominent, professional group of adjunct faculty members who have unique needs for support as they are not on campus frequently.
The Program Coordinator is focused on providing support to more than 600 adjunct faculty teaching experiential and non-experiential courses - including support for adjunct faculty in their hiring and onboarding process, in preparing to teach, and in carrying out teaching and grading responsibilities. Additional duties include but are not limited to:



  • Serve as a first point of contact for adjunct faculty inquiries related to administrative issues


  • Provide adjunct faculty data to internal and external constituents as appropriate


  • Manage adjunct office reservations


  • Assist with implementing and standardizing office procedures related to adjunct services


  • Update the adjunct virtual office page, and provide course scheduling assistance and front desk support


    Work Interactions
    Reporting to, and working closely with, the Executive Director of Adjunct Services, who is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our large adjunct program, the Program Coordinator carries out their responsibilities in close partnership with the Assistant Dean, Academic Affairs, and the Assistant Directors for the J.D. and LL.M. Academic Programs, who manage the course scheduling process for all adjunct faculty.
    Additionally, the Program Coordinator is a key member of the Academic Affairs team, and collaborates with numerous staff members across both the J.D. and Graduate programs, as well as other Law Center departments - for example, the Office of Employment Services, the Parking Office, the GOCard Office, IST, and the Library.
    Finally, the Program Coordinator works closely with hundreds of adjunct faculty members in the J.D. and LL.M. Programs, and often serves as their first point of contact at the Law Center.
    Qualifications


    • Associate's degree, Bachelor of Arts, or equivalent


    • At least 2 years professional experience - preference for some office administration/customer service experience


    • Strong organizational skills


    • Interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills


    • Ability to maintain sensitive financial and personal information, and to use appropriate discretion


    • Ability to provide prompt, accurate, and courteous responses to requests for assistance from our adjunct faculty


    • Ability to juggle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and solve problems in a courteous and professional manner


    • Demonstrated ability to work collegially and independently with various Law Center departments


    • A positive attitude and willingness to do all tasks necessary to support the administration of the J.D. and LL.M. Academic Programs


    • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google ("G") Suite (Gmail, Google Sheets, etc.), and Adobe Acrobat


      Preferred qualification
      Experience with web editing tools and Banner
