Summary The Provider Support Specialist I (PSS) is responsible for
providing on-site floor support to providers in need of assistance
with navigation of the Epic electronic health record, workflow
education, personalization and communication of optimization
enhancements. The PSS I works closely with the analyst and IT teams
in identifying, troubleshooting and resolving technical or end user
issues with the Epic EHR, speech recognition software, and PACS
applications. The PSS I assists with provider and scribe training
to end users in their respective region and works in conjunction
with counterparts in this role for each region. This position
reports directly to the Manager, Provider Support. Primary
Functions & Accountabilities Travel to offices within assigned
region and between all OrthoVirginia regions on short notice Meet
with providers individually in clinic setting to provide direct
support and troubleshooting as they engage Epic, MModal, PACS other
third-party applications Monitor end user workflows to identify
trends in efficiency with use of Epic Report technical or end user
issues to the analyst team using the ServiceNow helpdesk ticketing
system Assist analyst team with resolving end user reported issues
by providing onsite outreach Recommend enhancements to end user
workflows with tools available within Epic, MModal, PACS and other
third-party applications Provide remediation to end users engaging
Epic in a capacity outside of the system design and/or their
training Assist with Epic training courses for providers and
scribes within assigned region Assist with ongoing individual
provider training sessions leveraging Signal data in alignment with
organizational initiatives for provider EHR education Communicate
frequently with PSS counterparts in other regions Perform
additional responsibilities as assigned Core Competencies Patient

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Proficient computer and typing skills
Knowledge in general medical terminology, orthopaedic conditions
and treatments, and clinical workflows unique to an independent
musculoskeletal practice Organizational skills with focus on
tracking end user performance and improving workflows with use of
the EMR Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working
relationships with physicians, physician assistants, nurse
practitioners, physical therapists, occupational therapists, office
managers, and clinical staff Ability to communicate effectively,
both verbally and in writing Ability to work in a fast-paced
environment Ability to provide reliable transportation. Position
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Life or Health sciences
preferred. Prior experience with Epic electronic medical record
preferred 2 years of clinical experience preferred Travel required
