Job Description:
Resident Service SpecialistThe Resident Service Specialist is
responsible for supportive services for residents and managing the
participation in programs and community activities. Organize and
coordinate resident functions, including parties, birthday
activities, welcome events, unit visits, and any other celebrations
as directed. Help Manage customer support to residents by providing
assistance with service requests, accounting, rental issues, and
coordinating any other miscellaneous resident related functions to
achieve community goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ---
Provides referral and information about services to meet individual
needs and enhance resident quality of life including a focus on
maintaining housing stability--- Manage the front desk and light
office assistance.--- Assist with technology education for
residents and facilitate on campus learning of any kind.--- Assess
and coordinate resident referrals and resources by recommending
solutions to resolve resident issues impacting their life and refer
them to suitable community services, resources, and entitlement
programs, as appropriate--- Build relationships with residents to
better understand their aspirations and goals and connect them with
local resources and opportunities--- Support partnerships with
local organizations to successfully engage residents--- Design and
teach computer classes, including creating course outlines and
written material for workshops--- Provide one-to-one technology
support to residents--- Specific hours may be required weekly per
property need: Early Evenings--- Track and monitor RSC budget---
Coordinate resident support and provide resources for housing
stabilization issues such as late rent payments, housekeeping and
other lease violations--- Conduct resident outreach for programs
via social media, home visits, door knocking, newsletter
distribution, mailings, events, etc--- Process Reasonable
Accommodation requests for residents with disabilitiesJob
Requirements:--- Experience working with older adults, and issues
relating to isolation, health and wellness and other social
determinants of health--- A genuine love for people and a desire to
make a difference in their life.--- Patience, friendly demeanor and
a fun, happy personality--- Minimum Two-year of experience in
customer service or working with youth and families--- Excellent
customer service skills--- High level of interpersonal, conflict
management and communication skills--- Comfort with Microsoft
Office Suite--- Ability to understand and respect values,
attitudes, and beliefs that differ across cultures and to respond
appropriately to these differences with residents in planning,
implementing, and evaluating programs and services--- Capable of
building and maintaining positive relationships with a wide variety
of stakeholders, including but not limited to, residents, senior
staff, volunteers, interns, and community partners--- Ability to
collect and track data in order to provide information necessary to
assess programs and partnerships and inform strategies---
Proficiency with technology and an interest in learning how to
integrate new technology-based tools and resources into
programming--- Excellent communication, organization,
problem-solving and writing skills--- Early evenings

requires the ability to accurately perform intermediate
mathematical functions and the ability to understand and perform
all on-site resident management software functions. Professional
ExperienceA minimum of three years of experience in residential
property management and Lease UpAttendance/Travel RequirementsThe
position requires the ability to work any of the seven days of the
week, 52 weeks of the year. Due to the property staffing
limitations, it is extremely critical that individuals be able to
work their scheduled hours on a consistent basis and, if necessary,
overtime hours when requested. The position requires the ability to
serve on-call, as scheduled or as necessary. Travel may be required
at times to attend various owner gatherings either in the general
vicinity of the associates home property, or in another state. You
must also be able to attend certain resident events that are held
after hours.Computer skills--- Proficiency with MS Excel,
PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and other computer programs--- Basic
Internet knowledgePhysical DemandsMust be capable of physically
accessing all exterior and interior parts of the property and
amenities. Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry or maneuver
weights of up to 50lbs. independently and 100 lbs. with
assistance.Learning & DevelopmentMaintain a commitment to ongoing
