rescinded.Position Summary/Purpose of Position:The Smith School of
Business and the Honors College of the University of Maryland are
seeking qualified candidates for the position of Program
Coordinator of the Interdisciplinary Business Honors (IBH) Program
(https://ibh.umd.edu/). IBH is a two year living-learning program
within Maryland's nationally ranked Honors College, designed for
accomplished honors students of all majors who wish to explore
business connections among disciplines. This new program welcomed
its first cohort of 62 freshmen in the Fall 2022 semester. IBH
offers a unique undergraduate experience, involving a two-year
residential program, an honors track of five interdisciplinary
business courses, and extracurricular components.The IBH Program
Coordinator will lead retention and engagement efforts for IBH
students, including coordinating daily operations; planning
extracurricular events, orientations, and student communications;
advising students and student organizations; and assisting the
program staff and faculty as needed. Some evening and weekend work
is required. The Program Coordinator reports to the IBH Program
Associate Director.Minimum Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's
degree required.Experience:At least two years of experience working
with students in a role related to student retention, student
advising and/or student programming.Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities:Strong organizational, teamwork, customer service,
communication, and stress-tolerance skills.Excellent interpersonal
skills, including the ability to interact effectively with diverse
groups of students, administration, faculty, staff, and other
constituents and colleagues.Exceptional customer service skills and
a student-centric mindset.Highly detail-oriented.Ability to handle
challenging situations.Willingness to take initiative to solve
problems and enhance the IBH Program.General administrative skills
and computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and database
management (Google Suite, MS Word, Excel, and Access).This position
requires the ability to work extended hours and weekends as
needed.Preferences:Preferences:Masters degree in higher education,
student affairs, or a related field preferred.Background in
advising, student programming, and/or program
administration.Experience with students from diverse
