This position will be located in Linthicum, MD, Rolling Meadows, IL or McLean, VA.In this job, you'll:Develop, implement and measure employee and executive communications plans for assigned functional leaders in an effort to inform and inspire employees and drive business goals.Serve as a trusted advisor and work in partnership with other leaders to integrate messages and methods in support of broader business priorities. -Write talking points, speeches, video scripts, employee announcements and executive summaries for senior leaders.Be a storyteller - conceptualize, forage and produce a diverse array of inspirational content that supports our business goals and Communications objectives. -Collect and analyze data, make recommendations to improve our approach and the results of future communications, events and activities.Lead and/or support the coordination of executive events, including virtual and eventually in person webcasts, site visits, conferences and ceremonies.Support change management communications activities.Ensure all communications strategies and tactics are consistent with the company's strategic vision and reflect the Northrop Grumman brand.You'll be a great fit if you:Are an adventurous, self-motivated, collaborative communications strategist who thrives in fast-paced environments and can juggle multiple projects simultaneously, reprioritize quickly and meet deadlines.Are poised, approachable and confident in being a strategic advisor to business partners and senior leaders - tailoring your recommendations in response to business goals, communications objectives and measured outcomes.Are a strong writer, have excellent editing skills and are passionate about telling inspirational stories via articles, interviews, Q&As, brief/catchy lists, infographics, videos, animations, and photo/caption features. Ideally, you'll bring some new ideas and formats we haven't tried or thought of yet.Are disciplined in measuring the impact of our communications campaigns, plans and tactics.Enjoy making connections, creating integrated stories and providing the best exposure and experience for candidates, employees, partners and customersHave, or quickly develop, a good understanding of our business and can find and promote compelling stories about our people and our businessLove blending internal and external communications and have a track record of developing and implementing successful communications campaignsAre an excellent teammate who will provide leadership to and learn from othersAre courageous and can gain consensus among stakeholders with disparate viewsAre a stellar project manager who lives by prioritization, and possess a borderline-annoying attention to detail.Have great presentation and facilitation skills and can convey vision and approach to others.Are curious, analytical, love to spot trends and seek continuous improvement.Are willing to challenge the status quo to propose and pilot new, creative solutions, tools and technologies.This role can be filled at a level 3 or 4.Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field with a minimum of 6 years of experience managing communications projects, channels or campaigns, drafting communication content, materials and products -OR- 4 years of experience with a Master's Degree in a related field with similar communications project experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong problem solving, organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficient in Associated Press Style.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Preferred QualificationsExperience in strategic or digital communications, journalism, marketing, public relationsExperience with social media channels, audiences and practicesExperience establishing and advancing an organization's brandSalary Range: $80,100.00 - $125,800.00Salary Range 2: $99,200.00 - $155,900.00Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base -pay.
