THE POSITION
This is a unique opportunity to join a startup from the ground up and be part of our client's original founding sales team; owning and developing one of four US territories. You will be responsible for driving our client's continued fast-paced expansion through consultative selling to national and regional property owners and managers. You will not just be selling another tech product, you will be making the world a better place every day as a result of the problem our client is solving and the human connections and sense of community they are creating.
Beyond the primary focus of the role to achieve sales goals, you will also work with our client's senior leaders (CEO, COO, VP Product) to assist in establishing their first sales team, practices, tools, playbook, and have an influence on their product development.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive penetration in your territory to achieve monthly, quarterly, annual sales quotas by growing new and existing customers
  • Lead the entire sales cycle (prospecting, closing, nurturing relationships post-close)
  • Generate leads and setup pitch/demo meetings (typically zoom product demo meetings)
  • Build strong, long-lasting, trust-based relationships with owners, managers, developers
  • Develop and manage your pipeline (in Hubspot), prepare and present updates on KPIs
  • Participate in industry events and associations as relevant to help drive growth
  • Ensure successful transition to customer success team post-contract signing and stay involved ongoing to help ensure customer satisfaction and grow the relationship
  • Conduct ongoing industry and competitive research to stay on top of the market
  • Contribute to the product development process and learn new features and benefits
  • Assist in the development of the foundational sales team, practices, playbook
  • Assist in the development of tools and processes to support sales growth (eg, sales materials, case studies, customer testimonials)
  • Evangelize on behalf of the company and its vision
  • Contribute to our client's collaborative team culture and live their values every day
    REQUIREMENTS
    • 4+ years in SaaS software sales including startup environments
    • Proven track record of success in consistently achieving/exceeding quota
    • Proven track record of success working in a consultative sales capacity
    • Experience and strength delivering product demos in online video-based pitch meetings
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills and a natural influencer
    • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
    • Capture detailed information into sales pipeline management software (Hubspot)
    • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company success
    • Team player that collaborates closely with the sales team and cross-functional team
    • Good organization and time management skills
    • High energy, enthusiastic, and passionate
    • Sales experience in property tech/multifamily real estate would be beneficial
