Responsibilities * Coordinates and expedites flow of material,
parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance
with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors'
priorities. * Reviews production schedules and confers with
department supervisors to determine material required or overdue
and to locate material. * Requisitions material and establishes
delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities
and anticipated availability of material. * Arranges for in-plant
transfer of materials to meet production schedules, and location
requirements. * Coordinates with department supervisors for repair
and assembly of material and its transportation to various
departments, and examines material delivered to production
departments to verify if type specified. * Using computers and
related software systems, compile report of quantity and type of
material received, on hand, and shipped. * Move or transport
material from one department to another, using hand or industrial
forklifts. * As Site Lead, exercise minimal management duties for 2
subordinate workers, coordinate with TSA on site employees, and
prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.
* May compile perpetual production records in order to locate
material in storage or shipment, compile reports, and coordinate
with other departments using manual or computerized system. *
Maintain employee records. * Maintain accountability and
maintenance for two contractor provided fork lifts. Position is
Monday through Friday 9-5 except established federal holidays. Work
hours and days may be flexible within the 80 hours pay period to
meet customers requirements Qualifications * High School diploma or
equivalent * Forklift Operator Certification * 5 years Warehouse
operations, 2 years Warehouse or related supervision, 1-2 years'
experience using automated (computer) property management systems.
Experience may be concurrent. * Must Read, write, and speak English
at the High School level Must possess functional literacy with MS
Office automation products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) * This
position requires successfully passing a TSA Background
Investigation. BI is detailed and may take 6-12 weeks. Applicants
selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation
and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified
