Job Description:

As a Sr. SQL DBA you will be responsible for triaging and optimizing application and platform related performance issues. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring database systems and services are certified for operational readiness (desired state configuration, security, health, and performance). Candidate must be able to lead performance monitoring and tuning of assigned projects and communicate with other teams for identifying root cause of all database related issues. Proactively support ongoing maintenance, backup/ recovery, security, auditing, and production support. The candidate must be a subject matter expert on SQL and must able to lead applications and projects independently.

Location and Travel Details

This is a remote position with occasional travel once COVID restrictions are lifted.


Security Clearance and Citizenship Requirements

This position does not require a clearance. 


Profile of Success

  • Strong DBA skills coupled with SQL Dev experience
  • Must be willing to do SQL DBA work such as stored procedure improvements
  • Working with SQL Xquery
  • Index reviews and other optimizations, SQL query performance
  • SQL Code reviews and best practice
  • SQL jobs and SSIS/SSRS ( basic knowledge is fine)
  • Familiar with System DBA tools , isolation level , deadlocks avoidance

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of Duckcreek system and/or C# .NET is preferred but not necessary
