The Defense Group at Leidos is seeking a highly motivated and
customer-oriented Project Manager who will be responsible
for managing the cost, schedule and performance for Government
projects. The Project Manager will prepare labor and material
estimates, interface with end users, project teams, and Government
management to prepare project estimates and oversee successful
project execution. This position is located at the Leidos APG
Abereen, MD location and will require travel between the Aberdeen
and the Ft. Belvoir, VA location.
Manage the full lifecycle of C5ISR prototyping projects from
initiation to customer delivery including oversight of engineering
design and development, manufacturing, platform integration, and
Oversee execution of assigned project(s), ensuring all scope
requirements are completed on time and within budget.
Provide status updates to the integrated master schedule in MS
Project and Project Web Application (PWA).
Report project milestones, risks, and performance to Government
management and customer Program Officers as required.
Work with Government budget staff to track customer funding and
allocate Government and Contractor resources.
BS in Engineering, Business, Accounting or a related
scientific/technical discipline and 4 plus years of relevant
experience. Additional years of experience may be considered
in lieu of a degree.
Ability to work independently with overall responsibility for
project performance, facilitating the management of the customer
projects on time and within cost.
Experience working in a matrix team environment, actively and
effectively managing relationships with customers, technical teams,
and project managers.
Excellent organization and analytical skills including the
ability to proactively identify and articulate performance and
Ability to communicate with leadership, staff and customers.
Experience in tracking costs, schedule and performance
Active Secret Clearance
Project Management certified (i.e., PMP, CAPM)
Ability to prepare management-level reports, correspondence and
presentations based on project activities.
Must be able to identify and mitigate project risks
Experience developing and reporting on metrics relative to schedule
and financial performance.
Advanced knowledge of project management best practices such as
critical path methodology, schedule quality, and schedule execution
Experience working on DoD projects involving design,
production/manufacturing, and testing.
Experience with MS Project and SharePoint Project Web Application
