As an Acquisition Liaison Specialist (IT), you will:

  • Serve as an expert in the Information Technology field in order to provide assistance to customers in order to adhere to required standards for submission of procurement acquisitions.
  • Serve as an acquisition liaison specialist with the responsibility for collaboration with program clients and team members in directing the planning of acquisition actions as assigned.
  • Serve as primary interface point between program customers and OCPO during all phases of the acquisition process, but most support will be in the program requirements definition phase.
  • Assist in determining acquisition strategies and objectives; analyze requirements, recommend acquisition method, type of contract, and extent of competition.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, one year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:

  • Experience in a leadership position in the planning and execution of contractual actions and phases for assigned programs, including at least one of the following: Information Technology, Management Support Service, or Housing Support Service.

Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
