The Senior Manager will work collaboratively with the Finance & Accounting team to ensure the timely compliance with both internal and external requirements, including but not limited to tax reporting, external audits and financial reporting. The Senior Manager will assist in leading the team to improve existing processes, and to sustain and refine our internal controls around the tax and financial statement close processes. A strong candidate is expected to contribute to process improvements, apply technical accounting pronouncements, develop staff to achieve both individual and the larger team goals, and navigate in a fast-paced environment.


  • Identify and oversee technical accounting issues and solutions within a broad range of topics, including ASC 842 Leases, ASC 350 Capitalization of Internal Use Software Costs and ASC 718 Stock-based Compensation
  • Manage the company's common stock valuation process (409a)
  • Manage Federal, state, local and Int'l tax compliance, including managing relationships with external advisors and meeting filing deadlines
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement new financial accounting policies, procedures, and controls
  • Partner with internal team members in managing external audits (financial statement, SOC II) and preparation of financial reporting
  • Partner with cross functional teams that review and support recording of monthly financial results to ensure timeliness and accuracy
  • Lead the team's revenue recognition evaluation (ASC 606) relating to new product launches, new contracts and reimbursements agreements, as well as partnering with the business to implement and provide best practices
  • Actively partner with other members of the Controller's organization and other business operations and departments to build scalable processes and drive best practices
  • Lead meetings with senior management focused on complex accounting issues
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting or Finance required
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting, 7 years preferred
  • 4+ years at a public accounting firm or the equivalent of public company experience strongly preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant strongly preferred
  • Prior experience with audit preparation, income tax provisions and financial reporting
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft suite of software (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
  • NetSuite or equivalent financial system experience preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality
  • Strong collaborative & leadership skills
  • Ability to fosters relationships and a positive work environment to build effective teams committed to the Company's mission
  • Ability to multitask, work independently and meet multiple deadlines
  • Proven experience in recommending and implementing process improvements
