KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, Development to join our Audit Technology organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical management for all phases of the system development and implementation process including analysis, design, development, testing and ongoing support for the client area application systems in an environment of diverse and complex development platforms
  • Manage multiple development projects, working closely with IT and business management to identify and translate complex business requirements into architectural design; provide technical consulting and leadership, identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies that assist the functional business units in meeting their strategic objectives
  • Manage relationship with clients, ensuring high standards and quality of technical solutions, keeping abreast of latest technology developments
  • Own technical change management, source code and technical documentation, utilizing best practices; obtain SME knowledge of the systems, from the technical and business perspectives
  • Research and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend the most efficient and cost-effective solutions for the systems design, while providing a solution that meets the business' strategic objectives; include the integration of existing code-sets and/or components as part of the overall design solutions where practical
  • Document and test using proven industry standard code analyzing tools, implementing and providing ongoing support for the applications; perform basic database management functions focusing on Microsoft SQL Server technology, including writing/executing SQL queries; perform daily monitoring of the end-to-end business transaction performances and perform analysis of the results and distribute to the project team

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of recent experience as primary project lead on medium to large size application development projects; strong understanding of SOLID design principles of programming, OOP and Agile Methodologies (preferably SCRUM) with an emphasis on .NET Framework fundamentals, ASP.NET, React or Angular, SQL Server programming
  • Bachelor's degree in related major from an accredited college or university
  • Extensive experience in application development, integration and support including leadership roles as a Developer and/or Project Manager; experience should include responsibility for other developers (both onshore and offshore), interfacing with clients and vendors, creation of project schedules and project status reporting
  • Experience with full project life cycle including planning and executing application implementation and the creation of support procedures
  • Strong verbal/written communication, with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all level of responsibility and authority; must be able to prioritize, delegate and foster the development of high- performance teams to lead/support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork
  • Strong trouble-shooting and organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously; ability to participate in resource planning processes based on defined organizational plans (200TEC)
  • US Citizenship Required
