What You'll Do: As a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you'll get the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies, anchoring a small team across a complex network including:

  • Maintaining, upgrading, configuring, and securing server, container, storage and networking infrastructure in a mixed cloud/on-prem, Linux/Windows, VMware/AWS environment
  • Automating infrastructure tasks
  • Ensuring compliance to security guidelines (SOC2, STIG, NIST, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting performance issues
  • Updating documentation and facilitating cross-training
  • Coordinating with the rest of the IT team on infrastructure initiatives
  • Learning new technologies and solutions as needed
  • Performing after-hours maintenance and support as needed

About You: You're a good fit for the role of Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer if you meet these requirements:

  • US Citizen able to acquire and maintain a Security Clearance at the SECRET level or higher
  • Bachelor's degree in computer-related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five years' IT infrastructure experience

We'll also need you to have experience with:

  • AWS IaaS and PaaS technologies - EC2, S3, VPC, ECS, etc.
  • VMware virtualization platform
  • Linux operating systems (primarily Ubuntu)
  • Docker application containerization and automation
  • Windows Server 2019
  • Database platforms - MongoDB, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake
  • TCP/IP and network troubleshooting
  • High availability solutions such as clustering
  • Operating system and application patching, updates, hardening, troubleshooting
  • Web server management, i.e. Apache and Tomcat
  • PowerShell, Linux Shell scripting
  • CS/Programming background to facilitate communication with and support of DevOps team.
  • System monitoring (Nagios, Splunk)
