LMI is seeking a Communications Specialist who will provide
operational and strategic communications support to a Federal
program. This will include supporting communications and outreach
campaigns, authoring content, and development of communication
products and solutions. Communication with the organization---s
senior-level staff, and collaboration with a broad range of
personnel is also required. Join our team of collaborative
self-starters focused on advising senior leaders on communication
strategies and delivering targeted, effective messages. As part of
our high-performing team, you will augment our vital work to
support a Federal Agency's mission.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities
may include: Effective creation and execution of communication
strategies to support our client---s mission and priorities.Provide
communication support that shall assist with managing
enterprise-level internal and external communications channels,
products, and partnerships. Provide communications services that
assist to convey, promote, and disseminate information to
stakeholders related to ongoing and future initiatives. Collaborate
with stakeholders to produce communications products and plansLead
the development and production of reports, articles, presentations,
scripts, talking points, testimony, web content, new (social) media
content, and press releases in a clear and concise fashion to
technical and non-technical audiences.Convey, promote, and
disseminate various materials related to the organization's
priorities and initiatives. Liaise with partners to strategically
communicate. Plan and manage projects and events, as necessary.
Create and implement high-level strategic communication plans and
messaging schedule.Coordinate activities with beta users (setting
up training, submitting access requests, answering questions,
etc.)Maintain and update SOPsMaintain the client's brand and
integrate it into communication vehicles.Produce and edit content
for a variety of vehicles, including news articles, targeted email
messages, websites, print materials, blog posts, reports, talking
points, and videos.Assist in the preparation of weekly highlights
and release notes.Review all outgoing office products for grammar,
consistency, and style.QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors
degree with 10 years relevant experienceSignificant expertise in
communications principles, methods, practices, and techniques,
including skill in presenting ideas in speech and in written form
to inform and persuade audiences at all levels of the
organizationExperience designing, developing, and delivering
strategic communications through a variety of media, including
print and digital3-5 years--- experience supporting executive level
leadership with experience writing, editing, preparing briefs, and
creating talking points for leadership.Must be able to adapt to
changing environments within DoD and be flexible with expectations
to communication outreach tasks.Exceptional oral and written
communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in multiple
methods of visual communicationProficiency with the use of
Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Access, Outlook, Project, Visio, etc.Secret clearance is
requiredPREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:Experience in federal
government or federal government consultingProficiency in Adobe
Creative Cloud suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign,
Acrobat, and ElementsExperience developing and implementing
strategic communications plans for complex federal
organizationsActive Top Secret is desired.Masters DegreeManagement
