Security Specialist. The Personnel Security Specialist will support
PacArtic and our government customer in Washington, DC.
Must possess Adjudicator Professional Certification (APC).

The Personnel Security Specialist will utilize skills and
experience to perform project tasks. Ensure security requirements
associated with the government are met. Coordinates and works with
internal and external organizations for solutions for new and
developing security programs. Monitors security applications
through review and analysis and prepares summary reports. Employs

The Personnel Security Specialist is required to have an
understanding of the Federal Investigative Standards as found in EO
10450 and 12968, as well as Public Law (PL) 108-458, the
Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004, the
Director of National Intelligence (DNI), the Office of Personnel
Management, the federal investigative standards, and the Director
of Security. They must have extensive technical knowledge and
experience initiating and conducting non-criminal personnel
security background investigations in accordance with public laws
and executive orders, as well as the Federal Investigative
Standards set forth by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and
Director of National Intelligence (DNI) The qualified candidate
will exhibit the ability to work and multitask independently or in
a collaborative environment
Personnel Security Specialist (Adjudicator, Senior-level)
* The adjudicator will be knowledgeable in the following tasks to
include, but not limited to, preparing clearance certifications for
employees to attend classified meetings, foreign and domestic
travel, and verification of clearance for general inquiry
* Review and analyze self-reporting information to determine if
additional screening and/or fieldwork is needed.
* Performs evaluations and analysis of existing policies,
procedures, processes, techniques, and may prepare investigative
interrogatories and reports for adjudicative review.
* For all minor and complex cases, conducts an in-depth analysis of
all investigative data obtained according to established federal
adjudicative guidelines, prepares summaries for senior-level review
and makes recommendations for final consideration of a national
security clearance or public trust position.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Bachelor s Degree and 5-7 years experience or 8 years experience
in lieu of degree.
* Top Secret Security Clearance Required
* Demonstrated skill and comfort in proactively building
* Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating and
executing strategic plans.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to effectively interface with all levels of
Working Environment & Conditions
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard
office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate.
The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger,
handle, or feel objects, or controls; reach with hands and arms;
talk and hear. The work load may require the incumbent to stand for
extended periods of time. The incumbent must occasionally lift
and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the
job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth
perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Includes travel to
local, remote and out of state locations.
