We are seeking an Associate Director of Facilities Engineering
this position will report to the Head of Facilities and
Engineering. This position is primarily responsible for managing
all aspects of facilities operational engineering support, manage
business strategies and execution of strategic projects in the
areas of mechanical, electrical and utility engineering. Position
will also managing the maintenance and calibration systems for all
production equipment and building systems to ensure
preventative/corrective maintenance and calibration activities are
performed in a timely, efficient and compliant manner. This
position will have responsibility for direct supervision over
approximately 4 managers/supervisors, 6 exempts and 5-10 hourly
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Act as the primary owner interface with building landlords and
their site management.
Manage, maintain and develop key vendor relationships to support
facility operations and maintenance.
Established budget and accurate spending projections, manage
within capital and operating resources and able to identify
significant capital spend requirements during budget
Development of policies and procedures for the Facility
Engineering and Maintenance organizations and the communication of
these to subordinates to ensure their compliance,
utilizing proper tools and safety procedures.
Mange suppliers and equipment manufacturers; reviews
specifications and costs; orders new equipment and parts.
Manage and coordinate all plant shutdowns to include
preventative maintenance, major projects and plant modifications.
Collaborate with Finance to identify the remaining life in
significant capital assets to properly maintain and write down.
Set departmental objectives and goals.
Schedule and coordinate the actions and projects of departmental
staff to effectively service the needs of the manufacturing,
administration, engineering and management groups.
Oversee and direct all performance management, training,
development, job descriptions, and safety procedures for all direct

BS in Engineering discipline, MS and/or MBA preferred.
15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device
facility operations management
10+ years of experience in managing engineering staff and

shutdown, operation and maintenance of ISO and EU Grade Clean
Management of facilities equipment repair/preventive maintenance

designers, MEP engineers, structural, specialty professional

with effective liaison between EH&S, IT, Security and
