PURPOSE of POSITION:
The Governance Forum Lead coordinates and facilitates Program
Governance with the DHA and the Integrated Service Providers. This
role ensures that the obligations of Program Governance are met.
This role facilitates rapid issue resolution and the dissemination
of decision making in Program Governance.
The Governance Forum Lead will assist our client in establishing
project and program management processes and procedures to achieve
its stated goals. The Governance Forum Lead will have expertise in
overseeing Service Provider responsiveness to best practices and
procedures, as defined in the Service Management Manual, that are
aligned and conform to industry standards.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides subject matter expertise and support to help the client
to enhance its PMO functions and its processes/procedures to
improve Project management activities relating to risk, issues,
actions items, lessons learned, and project schedules.
Helps to mature a PMO framework that enables the client to
maximize its portfolio, program, and project management
Provides expert analysis on integrated project plans and
schedules to assist in managing and tracking projects.
Defines the project intake process and operationalize it.
Lead communication activities in Relational and Operational
Assists and provides subject matter expertise to DPDM as they
enhance the support they provide as the PMO for the client.
Improves interpretation / translation of contract performance
Assists with the automation of manual tasks including
deliverable and contract management.
Produces dashboards or reports tracking status of key program
activities and projects as directed.
Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years’ experience in a technical field
or management or equivalent combination of experience and
Subject matter expert in Project or Program Management with
experience creating and working in federal program and / or project
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management
Experience managing multiple service providers on very large IT
infrastructure program encompassing multiple geographically
dispersed locations and a mobile workforce.
Documented experience in establishing PMOs and providing clients
with best practices and procedures aligning and conforming to
Experience in planning and implementing managed services.
Experience effectively communicating at senior levels within a
customer organization and meeting with stakeholders to formulate,
review, and execute task plans and deliverable items.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products; primarily Word, Excel,
Visio and PowerPoint.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Project to develop, manage, and
maintain project schedules.
Well-organized and self-directed individual; ability to balance
and prioritize competing requirements.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Must be US Citizen and able to attain a Position of Trust ADPII
SCOPE of POSITION:
This position reports to Program Management Functions Manager.
This position serves as a resource for other employees. May
communicate instructions, do minor scheduling and inspect work. May
provide input in hiring, terminating, disciplining, promoting,
