Job Description:

We have an immediate opportunity for a Functional Lead to join our talented team in support of a federal client in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will lead all functional efforts across a large multi-disciplined team and the delivery landscape in support of IT modernization and the systems development lifecycle process.

Responsibilities:


  • Leads functional design efforts with the project team to establish and build new capabilities based on end user functional needs.
  • Leads organizational change management activities for digital transformation efforts across the organization for clients and team.
  • Plans and coordinates work with business process owners and key stakeholders to include other partner contract teams.
  • Acts as a liaison between development, IT operations teams, and clients to deliver high quality functional and technical products.
  • Develops, documents, and implements agile DevOps processes leveraging industry best practices.
  • Participates in design and configuration sessions with clients and technical teams and ensure all requirements and system specifications are gathered, documented, and captured in the appropriate deliverables.
  • Coordinates with technical, functional, and operational teams to assess functional requirements and provide recommendations to clients and the team.
  • Understands and maintains compliance with validated functional requirements and update project design documentation, as required.
  • Provides support and assistance in reviewing, assessing, and complying with functional workflows, policies, standards, guidelines, or procedures established by client.
  • Manages change control activities across the organization and for a large multi-disciplined team.
  • Manages operations and maintenance activities in compliance with client requirements.
  • Possesses a keen understanding of regulatory and reporting requirements, analysis that support client key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Identifies and analyzes metrics in order to track process performance, monitors the use of the metrics, and provides recommendations for improvement.
  • Reviews assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational and technological risks, and communicate insights with stakeholders
  • Assists in facilitation, coordination of meetings, and administrative support for integrated product teams (IPT), working groups, audit teams, and other teams.
  • Supports application development by promoting continuous process improvement through drafting, developing, and updating business rules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), training, and other documentation as needed.

    Requirements

    • BA/BS degree in Business, Technology, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience
    • Active Secret Clearance
    • Active PMP certification
    • ITIL v3 Foundation certification

      • Experience in the oversight and management of cross-functional technical and operational teams
      • Excellent presentation and communication skills in both oral and written form
      • Ability to manage dynamic deadlines and adaptability to shifting priorities
      • Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate and collaborate with clients
      • Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough needs analysis and implement solutions to drive business outcomes
      • Attention to detail and maintaining proactive communication
      • Ability to critically review feature requests and make alternate proposals as needed
      • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
      • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
      • Experience working in the Federal Government
      • Experience in providing operational and technical support for security assessments
