Talent Acquisition is a vital part of Emergent and a key business partner in achieving our strategic business objectives. The Talent Acquisition/HR team works closely with employees and the leadership team to deliver a streamlined process and attract and hire top talent. The Talent Partner will support openings across multiple business units and locations. Specifically, s/he will be responsible for:

* Managing candidate process and act as candidate advocate. Evaluating skill level, manage offer process, make salary recommendations. Negotiating offers by partnering with hiring managers, senior management, HR, and finance as necessary on new hire compensation packages.

* Developing and delivering recruiting programs, processes, and systems in partnership with HR colleagues (Business Partners; Compensation, Benefits, and HRIS; Policy and Compliance).

* Working with hiring managers to document requirements of job openings. Determining appropriate recruiting sources for advertising and posting positions.

* Promoting the company brand and culture to candidates and external service providers. Networking extensively in the marketplace to ensure we have access to the best and brightest talent for every search and our pipeline

* Executing searches for technical, specialized, and executive-level roles as needed. May also assist with the immigration process, working with immigration counsel.

* Developing strong relationships with hiring teams, acting as a trusted advisor as it relates to the recruiting and hiring process.

* Delivering on recruiting related projects as assigned by Director, Talent Acquisition

* Diversity Recruiting: Pursuing a diverse mix of candidates for each position using targeted sourcing and networking

* Managing contingent search firms when necessary

Responsibilities

* Serves as a strategic partner working closely with the business and HR to ensure a consistent, comprehensive, effective, and efficient approach to talent acquisition

* Manages the end-to-end recruiting process and system

* Develops and implements recruiting strategies for multiple locations and functions and recruiting plans for open positions

* Develops creative sourcing solutions for hard to fill positions; and is able to manage a reasonable volume of open positions at any given time

* Educates hiring managers on recruiting responsibilities, processes, and technology

* Sources, interviews, evaluates, and presents qualified talent for open positions

* Partners with business leaders to ensure core competencies align with business needs, proactively identifying gaps and making recommendations

* Manages and facilitates company diversity initiatives related to recruitment and has a focus on presenting a diverse candidate pool

* Manages and facilitates the onboarding process in coordination with the broader Talent team

* Develops recruiting best practices; continuously updates based on recruiting trends

* Ensures that all recruiting activities are conducted within legal parameters and regulations, and are in accordance with internal policy

* Participates in the Affirmative Action Planning process, ensuring proper disposition coding, diverse candidate pools, manager training

* Supports university recruitment, co-op, and intern programs when applicable

Education, Experience & Skills

* Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred

* 5 - 10 years of progressive, full life cycle corporate recruiting experience

* Experience recruiting for similar skill sets to what we recruit for is a plus

* Extensive experience with applicant tracking systems required

* Strong sourcing capabilities for both passive and active candidates

* Experience interfacing with managers and executives

* Strong collaboration and project management skills

* Excellent communication skills; strong facilitation and presentation skills

* Demonstrated ability to coach and influence; and identify, analyze, and solve problems

* Demonstrates our core values and core competencies in day-to-day work

* A strong sense of urgency when needed, high level of integrity and passion are a must.

* Strong customer service skills

* Must have the ability and agility to work at a fast pace with high expectations in an ever-changing environment

Physical/Mental Requirements

Type/keyboard, visual acuity, good eye/hand coordination, stand, walk, sit, twist/turn. Use phone, fax, copier, and computer. Organize/coordinate, analyze/interpret, problem solve, make decisions, plan, communicate, prepare written communications, and prepare transaction documents.
