Sysco, a global leader in the food service industry, is currently seeking a highly motivated and dependable CDL A Delivery Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of food products to a diverse range of customers, including top-rated restaurants, healthcare facilities, schools, and hospitality venues. Safely drive and operate your delivery vehicle at all times. Use hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts to unload products from the truck to customers. Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction. Verify delivery information, prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship). Collect payments and/or signatures from customers during delivery, when necessary. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure your vehicle is in excellent operating order. Maintain ongoing communication with route dispatcher. Adhere to company safety standards and participate in ongoing training with regards to safe driving techniques and handling procedures. Strong command of vehicle safety and handling procedures. Ability to operate a large vehicle in a variety of weather and traffic conditions. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using GPS and other routing systems.
