JOB SUMMARY
The Legal Resources Specialist will participate in and assist with
ACC resource projects, to publish and offer best-in-class resources
to its global community of in-house legal counsel - articles,
guides, sample contracts, and other resources that ACC makes
available to its members through various channels (such as its
online Resource Library). The Specialist will help to identify key
topics/trends, and work on the sourcing, production, publication,
promotion and curation of resources and resource
collections/microsites, on topics relevant to in-house counsel's
practice and career, such as compliance, privacy, intellectual
property, employment law, professional skills, diversity and
inclusion, career development, and many other topic areas.
This position requires strong editing, writing, and organizational
skills, familiarity with the production and maintenance of digital
publications/libraries and with topics relevant to in-house
counsel, excellent communication skills and a service-oriented,
global mindset, including the ability to communicate effectively
with resource stakeholders located in a variety of countries.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the ACC Legal Resources team in the development and/or
implementation of projects for the sourcing, production, review,
editing, upload, publication, promotion, and curation of Legal
Resources in various formats to meet ACC member's needs, and other
resources projects.
- Among other duties:
- Identify and monitor trends and hot topics in the legal world
that affect in-house counsel, update the ACC team with such
information, identify, procure, develop and/or compile resources
for publication by ACC on such trends.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (such as
law firms, ACC departments, members, authors, and others) to
publish high-quality resources to ACC members, and for other Legal
Resources projects;
- Assist with the identification of relevant third-party content
(such as on law firms' websites), obtain republication permissions,
handle the republication process (tagging, upload, etc), liaise
with content providers.
- Assist with the editing, drafting, compilation, upload, and/or
tagging of content for publication and use by ACC, and draft short
summaries describing the resources uploaded in the library.
- Respond to requests from ACC members/library users, participate
in maintenance of ACC's online Resource Library, liaise with
stakeholders to improve the library and to resolve issues.
- Assist with the identification of resource materials from the
ACC website for ACC events.
- Assist with campaigns to collect sample contracts, policies,
and other resources from ACC members for publication (identifying
ACC forum discussions, liaising with members, compiling discussions
into resources, and other tasks).
- Participate in the identification and implementation of
functional and design improvements to ACC's online library.
- Assist with the creation and/or update of online resource
collections/sites.
- Collect and/or analyze data analytics and feedback pertaining
to resources and library usage; formulate recommendations regarding
resources and topics; prepare reports as needed for ACC
stakeholders.
- Prepare and track of invoices related to projects, participate
in budget preparation.
- Help to develop/update as needed editorial guidelines and other
materials, workflows and operating procedures.
- Curate existing resources in the online ACC Resource Library to
keep it current.
- Deliver presentations (in person/remotely) as needed regarding
ACC resources to internal/external stakeholders.
- Assist with the implementation of campaigns and communications
to promote ACC resources.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree required. Legal education is a plus.
WORK EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a role involving digital
content publication (such as sourcing and editing/writing
articles/content for online publication) on legal topics is
required.

project teams, and the ability to get along with diverse
constituencies and personalities, including the Board, members,
staff, and contacts at external organizations.
- Understands unique nature of in-house practice and issues
confronting the global business community. Able to identify and
follow current topics and trends relevant for in-house legal
counsel.
- Writing and editing skills: Excellent writing skills, able to
edit resources and to draft resource descriptions/summaries.
- Able to promote resources using social media and other channels
such as emails/newsletters.
- Project Management: Excellent organizational and prioritizing
skills. Understands and applies principles of estimating, budgeting
and work scheduling when managing projects. Understands expected
outcomes and inspects work of others to ensure results match
expectations before accepting work as final. Able to work within
deadlines, create and sustain workflow, adjust when necessary,
delegate responsibilities as needed, and work within a team
atmosphere.
- Technology: Effectively uses Internet and/or computer
technology and demonstrates comfort with technological tools and
concepts. Familiarity with Drupal and Google Analytics is a plus.
Demonstrates familiarity with products, services, and online
resources in the legal area.
- Experience participating in projects with cross-functional
teams and successfully communicating and interacting with members
representing other functions within the organization.
- Incumbent is expected to be self-motivated, have a strong
positive attitude toward challenges, work with a high degree of
independence, make well thought out decisions, and successfully
take action with minimal supervision. SUPERVISORY

LANGUAGES
ACC seeks to hire multi-lingual candidates. Fluency in English and
a second language is preferred.
