NetCentrics provides the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies with leading IT services including IT Strategy, mission applications, infrastructure and platform services, cloud solutions, service delivery and cybersecurity. -- NetCentrics is looking for an experienced Network Administrator Shift Lead to support our team at the Pentagon. This position is open only to candidates with an active TS/SCI security clearance.-- Specific duties include: * Provides expert level analysis of voice, video, server, radio-frequency, and/or data communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices. * Plans network layouts and configures systems to user environments. * Analyzes network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements * May provide technical support and troubleshooting to tier 1 technical support * May perform network and server administration duties * Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network personnel and may have supervisory responsibilities * Serves as team leader of shift subordinates * Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned * Participates in special projects as required * Under minimal direction, provides specialized expertise within multiple systems, software disciplines, as well as general knowledge of related disciplines, applications implications, and customer areas * Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support * Assists in the planning and conversion for new hardware/software products * Maintains currency, debugs and configures related software products * Provides operating systems planning and evaluation for performance analysis, capacity planning and hardware upgrades * Works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications * Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs. * Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems, setting standards and improving overall efficiency of the operating system. * Designs, codes, tests and implements tools for operations automation. * Works on most phases of software systems programming applications, and may require instruction and guidance in other phases * May provide technical support and troubleshooting to tier 1 technical support * May perform network and server administration duties * Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network personnel * Serves as team leader of shift leads * Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned * Participates in special projects as required * Will be responsible for monitoring What---s Up Gold and answering the Critical Infrastructure All Call Line Requirements: * Clearance: Current/Active DoD Top Secret Clearance and SCI eligible * Certifications: IAT II (Security +) * Education: BA/BS in a technical discipline (years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree) * Years of Experience: 2 years of What---s Up Gold experience 5 years of relevant technical network administrator experience * Hours: Wednesday- Friday 6p-6a; Will be required to support holiday, nights and weekend shifts as needed * Must have experience directing staff in a management or team lead role * As a contingency to employment at NetCentrics, all candidates who are given offers must successfully pass a full background investigation including criminal history, education and employment verifications. -- **In order to be considered for this position, you must apply directly through our careers site** ------------------ -- This employer participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S. ---- NetCentrics is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
