Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Chief Digital/Technology Officer that will be responsible for developing and scaling Omni-channel technologies across retail, mobile and web platforms. They will focus on integrating digital technology so that our customers can shop and pay the way they choose and our teams are adopting technology to support the company’s strategic initiatives. He/she will be responsible for providing the organization with detailed analysis of market trends in technology and consumer behaviors. This leader must be obsessed about the customer, be able to influence the organization to do the same and will lead the development of the information architecture and framework that will allow the organization to make fact based customer decisions. They will champion the deployment of store technology innovations and solutions. The perfect candidate is a retail business person first, able to lead transformations quickly, have a strong bias for action, be a bold thinker and risk taker and be stellar at building strong cross functional relationships. They must be someone who is passionate about leading and developing teams. The position is part of a 5- member team that comprises the Office of the CEO that leads the company and interacts with the Board and Owners. • Direct the development of the digital and technology strategic
vision, in cooperation with the company’s Annual Operating Plan and Strategic
Initiatives. This should include core functionality, key partners, technology
enablers and the consumer roadmap in partnership with Marketing.
•Responsible for communicating the strategy enterprise wide and for
executing the roadmap.
• Develop and deliver the annual operating and capital budgets to
ensure the right resources are available to move the company’s digital and
technological capabilities forward. Ensures there is a plan for people, new
technologies and operations.
• Participate with the Office of the CEO to deliver the best
customer experience in the adult beverage business. This includes identifying
competitive services, opportunities for innovation, assessing marketplace
obstacles and technical hurdles so the business continues to grow.

PEOPLE:
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with the other members of
the Office of the CEO, relentlessly putting the customer first
• Lead and motivate the overall e-Commerce/digital and IT teams
located in Bethesda, FL and India, (225+)
• Instill a passion for Attracting, Recruiting, Developing and
Retaining the technical talent that will improve the overall agility, speed and
data-driven capability of the company
• Develop, manage and curate a portfolio of key third-party
relationships (agencies, service providers, consultants, etc.)
• Support building a culture of execution and consumer-focus in the
e-Commerce department while improving engagement scores

TECHNOLOGY:
• Build and manage both directly and indirectly the product
development, web ops, development, analytics and planning teams, as well as the
IT team that supports enterprise wide initiatives.
•Identify technology trends and evolving social behaviors that may
support or impede the business.
• Stay current with technology standards, industry trends, emerging
technologies, and product development and product management best practices.
• Drive innovative solutions through digital channels to improve the
customer experience that may not be achievable through traditional brick and
mortar channels
• Expand and enhance the company’s store to consumer delivery
capability
• Partners with Store Operations to ensure in store pickup is
outstanding for the customer
• Ensure the CIO is collaborating with the appropriate departments
to assess and recommend technologies that support the company’s strategic
goals.
• Evolve the company’s AGILE development methodology.
• Ensure governance direction and control objectives are achieved,
risks are mitigated and the company’s resources are used appropriately.
• Directs the execution of an enterprise-wide security plan that
protects the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the company’s data
and the customer’s data and ensures there is recovery and business continuity
pan for the enterprise.
• Promote the use of new technologies and techniques internally (in the direct team and
across the stores) and externally (with suppliers and partners) EXPERIENCE:
• 10-15 years of experience leading a Digital/ e-Commerce business with a focus on b2c commerce and retail.
• 5+ years of leading or being on the leadership team of a retail IT team

EDUCATION:
• BS/BA degree required
• Advanced degree in a business or technology preferred

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Strong managerial leadership capabilities – a proven track record of leading diverse, vibrant teams into new areas
• Clear experience in delivering business results – pattern of achieving / exceeding long and short-term goals/targets quickly
• Successful track record building and leading ecommerce product development – experience developing and executing digital retail experiences in a distributed environment including websites, apps and 3rd party experiences
• Technology “chops” – Comfort and experience in the technology world and the retail sales floor
• Deep project management skills – demonstrated track record of project planning, execution, tracking and post-mortem analysis
• Exceptional customer orientation – ensures the customer stays at the center of the multichannel experience
• Comfort with data/analytics – the ability to communicate about the desired consumer experience and build solutions to achieve the desired outcomes
• Straddling the creative/technology divide – proven success in using technology to solve consumer and retailer pain points and challenges
• Domain knowledge – Deep insight into customer behavior and translating it to a multichannel world
• Market Expertise - Knowledge of the beer/wine/spirits industry is a plus
• Executive presence – Experience collaborating with teams across the organization and team members at all levels
• Process, tools and capability development – introducing new ways of working across physical and digital media, including team skill development, technology enhancement, template development and process improvement
• Entrepreneurship – Demonstrated ability to roll up his/her sleeves and solve problems where the book is still to be written
• Data-centric approach – Smartly setting up processes to collect and use data for improved decision-making
• Builds extensive networks- utilizes a large network of people, vendors, technologies to stay current About Company
