Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for creating all server-side APIs, designing and implementing robust business logic, developing data models, and managing data storage for our microservices-based architecture running in a cloud environment. You will collaborate closely with product managers to refine requirements and provide technical expertise throughout the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrate a proven track record of designing and delivering scalable, performant solutions. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in striking the balance between the speed of delivery and the development of reliable and maintainable solutions. As a tech lead, you will provide guidance to ensure that the team delivers high-quality code while meeting project deadlines. What You Will Do

• Contribute to the architecture and design of backend services, including creating technical specifications and writing high-quality code to ensure robust and scalable solutions.
• Function as a tech lead, providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, driving a high-quality standard across the team's deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with engineers from the web, mobile, and data science teams to develop clean, well-documented APIs that deliver a fast and highly relevant user experience.
• Foster strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive the vision of our Premise SaaS offerings forward, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies related to location-based data and geospatial technologies, machine learning for fraud prevention, and building scalable data pipelines, exploring their potential applications and integrating them into our solutions effectively. What You Bring Along
  • 7+ years of experience with software development (Scala, Kotlin, or Java preferred)
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Demonstrated proficiency with data structures, algorithms and distributed computing
  • Professional experience building scalable, performant mission-critical software
  • Solid understanding of communication protocols and experience building APIs
  • Experience with developing for the cloud (GCP preferred, or AWS, or Azure.) Extras
    • 2+ years of Scala experience
    • 2+ years of functional programming experience
    • Experience with relational data model design
    • Experience with microservice architectures
