ECS is seeking an ARCGIS Developer to work in our Washington, DC office. Job Description:As part of a small team supporting a mission critical project for our Department of Justice partner you will:Perform technical development and maintenance to the customer's Operations Dashboard, advise on technical solutions and improvements to data standards and collection processes. Deliver recommendations on how to streamline, automate, and overall improve data management.Use ArcGIS geospatial analysis tools to provide support and assist with analytical product developmentCoordinate with diverse set of end users to aggregate and prioritize situational data in preparation for developing the best approach to delivering the presentation layer. Assist with maintenance of customer's data layers including data validation, conditioning, and metadata standardization. Maintain this list on the customer's SharePoint portal.Publish internal monthly newsletter to keep end-users and leadership apprised of all updates and system enhancementsMaintain and recommend enhancements to data update procedures. Track recommendations and corrective actions taken, and implement changes as appropriate following training classes, conferences, executive briefings and other events.Communicate with software developers and program managers throughout the enterprise as needed to provide user feedback on geospatial systemsCoordinate with appropriate data owners to ensure data maintained on customer dashboard data layers is current and conciseProvide assistance with customer training classes that are conducted for enterprise users to include remote or deployed personnel. Create and deliver program documentation, including user guides, marketing products, and training materials.Perform data conditioning and data analysis operations using operational data to answer taskings from customers throughout the enterprise Required Skills:Expertise with Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SharePoint, JavaScript, Web Server (IIS), HTML, ArcGIS, Google Earth Server, programming language including but not limited to Python R and C3+ years experience creating maps, dashboards, and applications using ArcGIS toolsDemonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft Office SuiteDemonstrated experience with other knowledge management and visualization and geospatial related systems and their underlying platformsExperience with open-source programing languages typically used for data science tasks including, but not limited to, Python R and C, and Esri ArcGIS EnterpriseMinimum of 7 years' demonstrated experience in Computer Science or related field B.A. or B.S. degree, Computer Science, Data Science Must have a current Top-Secret Clearance with the capability of obtaining SCI / CI-Poly if needed to meet contract requirements. Desired Skills:The most qualified candidates will be team players who bring a positive attitude to mission critical technical challenges and have good verbal & written communication, time management, and organizational skills. These candidates will be results-oriented, willing to take responsibility and accept accountability for action and genuine desire to provide superior customer service. The candidate must have a high degree of initiative, and sense of urgency and the ability to work on multiple, simultaneous initiatives.Experience with requirements gathering, analysis, and prioritization.Experience evolving end user functional requirements into both business cases and/or technical deliverables. Experience with, and a desire to continue improving business processes without disrupting mission support.
